lots of arguing over if its Satch or Vai playing the first part. Personally I think its Vai but I mean why doesn't someone just check out the song credits somewhere. Besides regardless of the player, Jason composed that intro bit anyways so really its just being played as Jason wanted it to be played. Its more likely Satch did more work on the River of Longing track along with Marty Friedman and Vai got that piece at the start of this track.

Becker doesn't produce anything, he's pure composer now. It would be pretty unreasonable to ask him to do anything so administrative, considering his disease. They probably used Bemesderfer for the new recordings.
