Great tutorial but, for the benefit of those who, like myself, found this part (5:54) a little difficult to understand (I found you spoke a little fast), the option for mirror replication is called 'Garage Matais' and it's in effects-keying.

Man, you're not kidding about that center line deal.

When doing the mirror part, it didn't have the 4 lined panel and only an onscreen minimize arrow - what do I click on to get those options to single out the mirror on Video2?

Hey, I need to apologize to you (maker of this video) - I initially thought you spoke too softly and so I went to another similar tutorial on Youtube and, along with yours (both of which almost magically make sense when you mess around with the program and take notes on where you guys click onscreen) - I've given birth to a second me.....it's a bit rough and I filmed the right side shoulder too close to the left so it's cut off, but it's passable for a first attempt - THANKS AGAIN.

This has almost sold Adobe video editing software to me. I've been using Windows Movie Maker to do similar things, but the mirror effect is something (offhand, I'm a complete amateur) which can't be done there (I think) - if it can, it's a much less simplistic process. Adobe looks straight forward and convenient - can I ask 2 questions?

1) Can this program CONVERT between *.AVI and *.MOV file types?

2) How big are the filesizes of an average 3 minute segment using this program?

@y2j1980x this is the only reason i got adobe is because my camera does .mov files. they say .mov files are better for editing, they hold up under different compressions. also cyberlink power director can handle .mov but it takes a lot of pc ram, at times it freezes.

@thegreenpikmin i know what you mean, what you have to do is get all your raw footage and put all the shots you want on your movie time line, then save your movie as AVI format. then open it back up in another project. It should stop the lagging

@thegreenpikmin (Dunno if this is still an issue for you) but I had similar problem in initial stages of using Premiere Elements 8.0 : whenever used my old Compaq Presario B1900 laptop, the audio would continue but video lagged. I've since gotten an i5 laptop and the problem is fixed, but there was a way to fix the lag on the other laptop using the various publishing settings/codecs available. I wont list them here because that would be long, but there's probably a way if you play around.

why do you use prop? four piont garbage mate works as fine as that, and you

can place the points wherever you want, or 8 point or 16

but 16 is a bit to much for cloning

I use this method quite a lot... I've done multiple clones too... also... you don't necessarily have to stop the camera after each video... you can manually cut and trim takes from a single shot... it's easier that way, and you can reduce virtually all possible camera distortion...
