I still could not figure out why Stargate Atlantis got rid of Dr Elizabeh Weir and the show killed off the original Medical doctor also in season 5. What happened to Colonel Samantha Carter?

Actually Amanda Tapping had only one more year on her contract so basically one more season after SG-1. Which she did. She decided not to renew her contract with Atlantis, coz she works on Sanctuary.

And yes the show is being cancelled. This is they last season.

The writers must be running out of ideas. Now they are even portraying the Asgard who help Earth tremendously in the past and gave their far superior technology to Earth like Space travel, hyperdrive, beaming capabities, etc, etc instead of invading earth. Now the rest of the Asgard are merely trying to save their Race from extinction but they are made as a bad guys because it does not fit Earth agenda. Its time to cancel the show its becoming an annoying show now. I used to love the show.

I think the Asguard sent some of their own to Pegasus to oversee that their legacy was being used for the good, and to initiate such a device would be an action that is frowned upon by the Asguard, and it was a test to see if the humans would use ANY technology in a manner in with would conflict with their agreement. furthermore it isn't a tattoo dumbasses not a neural interface, but a physical defect due to their genetic disease.PLEASE COMMENT BACK I love this show GO UNIFIED FIELD THEORY!!!!!!

It can't be Thor, because he and all the Asgards from the old galaxy died on the last episode of SG1. Besides it it pretty obvious that these Asgarads are from a different faction, who probably got lost and separated from the rest of the Asgard civilization. This next episode is gonna be sweet.

I've got a theory. Most likely its wrong but hey, what the hell lol. The first thing i noticed was that little chip on the asgard's head. Reminded me of a mind-link device. Also, if all the armored soldiers are asgard, how could they casually let one of their own die since the asgard were a dying race with no reproduction.

Putting these 2 points together, i'm thinking that they're all controlled by one pissed off asgard that can control his clones.

i dont think the Asgard are evil they are a tribe that was in the Pegasus galaxy and probably unknown to the milky way ones.

if the ancients ever fell they would rely on the Asgard to come and grab one of them to activate this device to end it once and for all. so they are not evil. and we probably haven't seen this new technology because they broke off from the other Asgard's and they use the suits because they are frail

The ancients are smart... they made it so ONLY somebody with the ATA gene could use ancient tech, in some cases someone to turn it on was the only need. Either way they need the gene

Wow. I don't think these Asgard are evil. If they were they would have killed shepard and teyla in the firefight instead of deploying a temporary shield. Also after the device was activated they wouldn't have just stunned danial and rodney they would have killed them. My guess is they arnt completely altruistic like the asgard we knew in SG-1, instead they are just like us, willing to make a hard decision and sacrafice for what they think is the greater good, killing the wraith for good.

I did consider the possibility that this is a huge foiler (fake spoiler), the producers did the same thing with Vega. They said she'd be the next Lorne but she got 2 episodes and about 2 lines and she was killed.
