  • Great

  • I feel we will be back as independent states soon, with emphasis on local economic growth in a new kind of a revolt. People have to live and the feds have failed us all.

  • @mobilechief YEAH maybe then someone could make those muslimlovin eurotrash shitbag cowards give us back our flag . the EC has stolen the Confederate navy flag .

    DEO VINDICE

  • I like your video...

  • liverpool gave the south guns and men scouse men who gave there life for liverpool and the south .

  • The Linkls between Liverpool and the Confederacy are well documented. Not only was the Alabama built on Merseyside, but here sister ship The Shnadoah was actually crewed by Liverpool Sailors! They duly surrendered on the River Mersey , and only then to English Authorities. Capt Semmes is Buried In Smithdown Road Cemettary, with the Inscription reads something like "American By Birth, Southern by the Grace of God", Right, I'm off to Listen to Some Lynyrd Skynyrd : )

  • For me Semmes is a legend, a nice legend, I love this men...the great south is always alive over the world, in France by me...lol

    Thank for your comment !

    Anna.

  • I saw the sailor tombstone to Cherboug in last November, I have some photograph if you want...

    Merci beaucoup pour l'Alabama.

    Salutations de France,

    Anna

  • I'd love to see pictures of the Alabama graves.

  • The CSS Shenandoah would have kept sinking Yankee ships had they not been convinced by the Capitan of a British merchantman the Civil War was over.

They made whales happy as a lot of the Shenandoah's victims were Yankee whalers.

  • Visualize an Alabama Republic, free from tyranny, and the oppressive Federal Government.

  • I'm visualizing...Slaves. Yup, no tyranny in sight!

  • I'm visualizing tax slavery to an unconstitutional illegal federal government. The Federals burned, looted and raped unarmed Southern Civilians, visualize Shermans troops burning a Southern Farm, raping the women black and white, stealing the live stock. Tyranny is government controlling every aspect of your life.

  • Sure is, and I even support succession as a concept - there's no reason the US can't split, its not some holy thing set in stone.

But in this case, being a revolt to protect the institution of slavery, it is a bit rich to talk about freedom from tyranny.

  • Why is the South blamed for thousands of years of European Slavery? The South was fighting for the Constitution, particularly the 10th amendment, not slavery.

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

"The principle for which we contend is bound to reassert itself, though it may be at another time and in another form"

    J. Davis

The North fought to preserve the Union, not slavery

  • I don't blame the south for anything. I would've let 'em go if I were in charge. You are RIGHT about the North.

But trying to paint the CSA as some freedom-loving paradise is doing a grand disservice to the idea of state's rights.

This Alabama was a land where people were owned, beaten, bought and sold.

Tieing that to "state's rights" is EXCELLENT big central government propaganda.

  • I never meant to paint Alabama or New York as a freedom loving paradise. In New York during the drat riots protesters of the Emancipation Proclamation burned an orphanage with the children in it, hung any black they could find, tarred and feathered politicians. It was a different time, different set of morals and beliefs. Was it right, No.

We are facing the same problems today, with the federal government overstepping it's authority. The Constitution is the Compact that Unites the States.

  • Yeah, they are. You know governors can't refuse to send their militias to war anymore? That's such BS. Under Bush, they feds would prosecution medical marijuana owners in states where it was legal. Under Obama, they threaten to withhold funds to coerce states to pass legislation they want.

Some states have their balls though. Over a dozen flat out refused to do Real ID. Good times.

  • liverpools pride the alabama we are not english we are scouse .

  • lol

  • yea is a cool mc hammer sonng

    and that is all

  • lol "Can't touch this" I didn't see that coming.

GOD BLESS THE CREW OF THE CSS ALABAMA!

    R.I.P.

  • The Confederate Navy continues to amaze me. I just finished Sea of Gray, the story of the CSS Shenandoah, which surrendered in Liverpool on Nov 5, 1865. It was up in the Arctic sinking whalers and decided to go south to avoid the ice when they found out on 8/2/65 that the WBTS was over. It's a fascinating story. Deo Vindice

  • i worked in the cammell laird shipyard birkenhead ,were the css alabama was built , obviously not then, the dock is still there were it was built

  • I have to say this blows my css alabama video away. You are a genius for combining MC Hammer and the CSS Alabama. No one could ever see that coming! I have to reedit.

  • i didnt know what to ut for the music. and they couldn't touch her until of the coast of france.

  • Florida SCV member. I was at the CSS Alabama sailor funeral too. Nice work with the effects and pictures. The CSS Alabama still hold the world record for most ship sunk or captured at 74 is it?

  • As a member of the Mississippi Division, Sons of Confederate Veterans, may I just say, That Rocks! We just buried the last sailor off that ship in Mobile after his remains were returned just in time for the National Reunion (Convention). Thanks for the great video!

  • South rules u should show its two most kown ships the submarine huntley and the monitor.

  • the monitor is a northner ship

  • roll alabama roll liverpool shanty birkenhead built

    liverpool crewed hear l

  • @WESTANDBEAST I think, sir, you mean the Virginia, aka the Merrimac.

  • I'd suggest the sea shanty "Roll Alabama", it was written by Alabama survivors. Hell, anythings better than M.C. Hammer.

  • mc hammer is okay because for the longest time the yankys couldnt catch her. but i agree. i just didnt know about the song until someone else mad a video about css alabama
