  • @CoolBear777 Everyone in their lifetimes will attribute those who they learned from, or who did indeed inspire them. In this digital age, there are countless ways to learn new things and become a better musician. Joe.. you've definitely helped me along the way and I won't forget you, especially since I share your pain of loss. Your words couldn't be spoken truer. Thanks for everything Joe, I wish you the best and I know your love for the community and their love for you will bring great things

  • Awesome words. I just started watching your videos but have found them very, very helpful. It's great to see someone so dedicated to sharing his knowledge and teaching those of us who are eager to learn. Seems we have your dad to thank for that as well. Thanx to you both~!

  • Joe, I'm sorry for your loss. Yout Dad will always live in your memories.

In regards to you coming back. Keep teaching....you are very generous, and you sure are making a lot of people happy by sharing what you know and are very good at. Hope you'll keep it up

  • Your pop is happy seeing you sharing others what he has taught you. I am happy that you are raised that way.

May eternal light shine upon him.

  • Lost my dad when I was 14 (Feb of 2009). I know how you feel; the pain soon drifts away, but the memories will always remain. You never really know how badly you miss someone/thing until they're gone. When he had a stroke a few years ago to had paralyzed left half of his body a bit so he took up bass to try to give it strength back, which then inspired me to start playing. Love your lessons, take care. Never forget your not alone.

  • yeah that' is heaps sad to hear hang in there bud your in everyones thoughts

  • Hey Joe. Sorry to hear about your dad. Well, hoping all the best for you and your family

  • Nice to see you again, Joe. So sorry about your dad. Sounds like he was a wonderful person. I lost my maternal grandma last September and lost my paternal grandma just a few days ago. It's so hard to lose our loved ones. I am so glad he was such a big part of your life. He lives in you, Joe. Hugggz, Val

  • No Need to Apologize, life is for all of us to share. You share a lot with us. I feel your loss my Father passed on 8/9/2010 he was 74. I to have taken some time off of music, there's no limit to how long or how we all feel, just keep true to your heart. Mahalo for sharing with all of us.

  • Coolbear, I like your bass lessons however, I, too, lost someone very close to me a little over two months ago. My dog died a week short of his 14th B-day. I learned more from him than I ever did my dad.

My dad was a Vietnam vet who was poisoned by radiation during the war and died of cancer 21 years ago. He was also a nasty ass drunk and we weren't friends. My dog was my best friend and kept me sane after repeated brain tumor surgeries.

We all grieve in different manners.

  • Sorry for your loss brau. His legacy is carried on through you, and you rock.

  • I lost my POPS in '03.........I feel your pain Joe.....All the best to you and your family!

  • Thanks for the video, Joe. We all wish you solace and comfort in your time of loss. Much love from your fellow bassists and students.

  • Stay strong and live life to the full, it's what your father would want you to do. Someone is only really dead when people have forgotten them and this clearly won't happen. Best wishes from the UK.

  • Your dad's influence will live on, in your own influence.

  • Do what you got to do, everyone is gonna stick with you.

  • We all hope the best for you and your father... Thank you for your videos and ultimately thank your father for giving you such a great life. like you say, pop is not at all forgotten!

  • sorry brother for your loss. you're a big influence whether, this is known or not. I'm sure there are so many people who know what you're going thru. it's hard to lose anything or anyone that you love. Thanks for sharing, Our Prayers are with you.

  • Aww I'm sorry :/ he just went to Bass heaven with Cliff....

    (was that in bad taste?)

  • dont worry hes not really gone hes just teaching god how to play the bass

  • Thank you for all of your videos.

  • My condolences, friend. Get well soon, know he will always love you.

  • Hope you do well soon man!

    Well wishes from Ireland!

  • Thanks Joe for posting this. A good reminder how precious those relationships are. Keep your chin up and always remember your Dad would want to make sure you carry on his legacy with happiness and love in your heart.

Keep the faith and God Bless..

  • Sorry to hear. I'm currently listening to your recordings with him, those seem like fun times!

  • So sorry :(

  • My condolences, thanks for all you've done so far. I'm looking forward to seeing more from you. That voice hasn't been silenced by the way, it continues in you. So pick up the bass and back on the horse.

  • God Bless you and your Dad ! You are MY inspiration !

  • take all the time you need, we are still gonna be here when you're ready :)
