You never really know how badly you miss someone/thing until they're gone. When he had a stroke a few years ago to had paralyzed left half of his body a bit so he took up bass to try to give it strength back, which then inspired me to start playing. Love your lessons, take care. Never forget your not alone.

Coolbear, I like your bass lessons however, I, too, lost someone very close to me a little over two months ago. My dog died a week short of his 14th B-day. I learned more from him than I ever did my dad.
My dad was a Vietnam vet who was poisoned by radiation during the war and died of cancer 21 years ago. He was also a nasty ass drunk and we weren't friends. My dog was my best friend and kept me sane after repeated brain tumor surgeries.
Stay strong and live life to the full, it's what your father would want you to do. Someone is only really dead when people have forgotten them and this clearly won't happen. Best wishes from the UK.
