easy fix i have put how to fix it on 3 other videos on how to fix 2 red lights ....my console used to do this just after i turned it on ,fans would get very fast and them it would turn off ...all you need is a hair dryer with hot setting new thermo paste and xclamp fixing kit cost you about £ 10 max and you will have a working console ...message me on xbox live if you have trouble  TERMINATOR 2452

mines fed up even more. i get 1 sec of regular start-up, then it goes to the 2rod. but i cant turn it off by hitting the button, i have to take out the chord. if anyone ever had this problem and solved it, send me a message.

yeah i got the same thing apparently its the screws on the x clamps to tight, i have fiddled with mine and it happened when i put it back together, its hard to find anything on this problem cos people are so fulla bs on utube, ill let ya know if i fix it

it means overheating and to fix it (This WILL void your warranty) you have to open your 360 and blow all the dust out

seart 'three red light fix and follow the steps on that but when you get to the step that tells you to remove the "x-clamps"dont follow that step,insted you need thease things *a vacum *your 360's motherboard now follow my steps 1.plug in your vacum 2.put the mother board somewhere safe 3.turn on the vacum 4. blow all the dust out 5.reassemble 6.enjoy your working xbox 360! P.S.if that doesnt work try a new power brick (look on the bottom of the power brick for wottage 203w,175,150w

1. the xbox has gotten so damn hot its melted the inside of the xbox

2. its simply overheated and it shuts down to cool off and prevent permanant damage

How can I get my console to show the 3 red lights (RROD)? I have taped up all of the air holes and wrapped it in a blanket, it keeps getting 2 red lights and shutting itself off. I need it to get the 3 red lights so I can send it off for free repair.

Because it's already broken. Won't read any discs and the disc tray rarely opens. So I want to get the RROD so I can get a new one from Microsoft. This is my 4 X360 with this problem.

Nope I gave up. MS wanted $99 to repair it and I couldn't get the RROD. I have tried everything, turning the console on and shaking it, playing the console upside down, taped up the air holes, turn it on and off very quickly about 100 times.
