George Lynch used to apply this amp technique in the 80's with Max Norman, or maybe Michael Wagener, can't recall which producer/engineer.
George would have dirty, clean and somewhere in between amp sounds and mix them up.

Or maybe stop spending your life looking for the perfect guitar sound and re-learn how to mix drums! Modern rock drums sound awful. Kick drum sounds like it's about 25 feet wide (blasting a huge whole in the bottom end leaving no space for anything else) and the snare sounds like the drummer dropped his stick into a plastic bin. Completely ruins modern rock and metal!

1:24- "no matter how hard some body tries, it's going to be very hard for them to replicate YOUR exact sound if you're using three different amps".........hmmmm... wouldn't that mean you yourself would have to already be using three different amps on your own already? I mean because if not, then even YOU wouldn't be able to replicate your exact sound, right?

@siriusisastar I would really like to answer with something like "fuck off" or "are you fucking brain raped or something!" but I won't.. Instead let me explain my first comment about amplitube. I mean that you can use this technique with amp modelers too and not only with hardware as qorwoduf4 said. now FUCK OFF!
