  • It was I think the 1977 World's Strongest Man that Mike Dayton won a wrist/forearm event, rolling a weight UP a platform, not hanging from a bar. He beat Ken Patera, Franco Colombu and Lou Ferrigno. Ferrigno and Colombu placed 1 and 2 in the steel bar bend.

  • I've seen this done before, it's actually not new. What people don't do all the time is hang while they do it though

  • Ha he lucked out with this one. Since you are going towards yourself, you dont actual even need a weight. You can just use a string to see your progress - and save your stuff! This was the first time we tried so there have been some changes haha. -Joe

  • Actually you don't if you roll it like in the video. You could just use the rope as an indicator of how far you rolled.

    If you roll it away from you then a weight is helpful. - Joe
