i bought an 82 odyssey for 800 $, all i had to do is make brakets for a new gas tank and get new brakes, the thing starts first pull everytime, only thing though, i think my axle is bent or it might just be the fact that one of my rear wheel is bigger

Technically 45 MPH.  Reality is, it depends on how much rattling you can take. Rough on the back / neck!

Did you guys have to increase the size of the carb main jets for winter running? I read that since air is more dense when it is cold you should increase the jet by two sizes, and was wondering if you did that. This is one of my favorite videos, BTW, I must have watched it 100 times.

Dam, that brings back some fun memories! I used to have a 250 Ody years ago, upgraded to a 350 and and used to race them in a club in South Australia. The most fun was had going away with a couple of mates for a weekend who also had Odyssey's. I was smiling with you watching this video!!

I started whit a fl250 and now have a fl350, they are world apart the fl 250 is a back killer no suspension only good for sand pits, and the fl350 got individual rear suspension so you can go nearly verywhere a quad can go (but not in 3 feet deep water ;) its alot more fun, you can get a fl350 for about 2k 3k running if you take your time before buying and a fl 250 for about 250 to 500$ if you search well.

fl250's are worth around 1500 now and the 350s are worth like 3500

How good of gas mileage do the 250 odyseys get? are they as high maintenance as most 2-strokes are? how fast do you think they go?

I think they have a 2.5 gallon tank. We run on that tank for the better part of the day. I would guess maybe 25 to 30 miles per tank. They will do around 35 to 40 easy. Hard to call the real top end. Not much real maintenance to them. They just run. They are real basic engines.

I would suggest getting a 350 or a pilot (400) for speed. My buddy has a 350 and it flies. They can hit 70 MPH.

hey im building up a fl250.. what kinda gas tank is that where ccan i get one?

The white thing that looks like a tank is actually a tool box. We took some 6inch PVC put a cap on one end and a screw on cap on the other. It's held on with hose clamps. If you want a tool box or "trunk" they work great.
