Just wanted to update that I finally received mine today. Works amazingly, and it shaved a few degrees off compared to my Megahalems with the use of Delta fans for push/pull!

One nag I had is that for push/pull configs, there weren't any extra screws to mount the second fan unto the radiator, so finding spare screws that fit was a bit of an issue, but I managed to fit another fan anyway, and most importantly: the pipes didn't break this time! You guys have officially redeemed yourselves.

Using an exhaust fan connected to the CPU cooler removes the heat directly from the CPU, so it never enters your chassis to increase other component temperatures. With exhaust configurations hot air is pulled outside of the chassis, and ideally cool air is brought into the chassis from other locations within the case. Coolit tech support told me it's impossible to miss the little mounting posts and that I must have had the mounting screws in the wrong position when I inadvertently screwed into the motherboard traces and damaged them. (I read the directions, understand the difference in cpu sockets)

I've worked in IT/IS for 12 years, been a computer gamer since 1988, and have been a beta tester for NVIDIA for over 6 years. I've put on a LOT of heatsinks in my life.

I'd keep your air cooler rather than trash in less than creative ways. The mounting hardware for the block of the ECO ALC is not very well designed, destroyed my Asus P6T Deluxe motherboard installing it. Caveat emptor

I really don't mean to insult or anything, but my last "old" heatsink I had was actually a Coolit Domino ALC cooler, and ironically one of the pipes broke and spilled liquid everywhere :(

I actually tried to mod mine and use 2 Ultra Kaze fans on it without the shroud just for giggles to see how it would do...didn't turn out so well.

I've been running a Prolimatech Megahalems ever since, but I am curious as to how this new ECO unit performs against it. My AMD Phenom II X4 940 is one hot chip!
