  • should of got a spot light and shot them pretty good money for their hides if you skin them right

  • Cool but a little eerie. :-)

  • i love the sound of coyotes expecially when the wolves join in every now and then. before i moved i could here this every night before going to bed. i really miss that sound

  • Just the sound of their howl makes my heart sink! Bad camping experience, never been so afraid in my life !! beautiful animals though

  • We never had any thing for years here .. for first time tonite i hear pack of them ealier .. it was dark but i never knew what it was.. then reaction sounded as they were coyote.. so i came on her to look up the sound of coyote and sure enough they are.. there was pack of em howling and yowlling earlier.. they better not make themself welcome here.. or else

  • @jamberriesful two months ago, heading out to my grandmas car to start it, there was fog setteling in and the moon was out and in a field on the other side of my woods I hear what sounded like a pack of small yapping dogs. Then after a while it was in the front of my house and I got irritated a bit and howled with my best wolf howl then there was dead silence and whimpering when they ran! I looked up the sounds and they weren't little dogs but a big pack of coyotes hunting

  • lol my chihuahuas sound more scary when the ambulance passes by lol.

  • Why can't they be this close when I'm hunting?? :(

  • I live in the backwoods of Fl and these guys scare me so bad!! one day i went out to get my horse off the fence and it was cold and cloudy a firetruck passed the highway behind our land and when it stopped the coyotes went NUTS!!!i ran back inside but i was curious and went back when i started howing they stopped but it was just so amazing to listen to that :D

  • Fulltimewierdos

I feel sad that you lost your cat as I have cats but cats shouldn't be left outside. You don't need to "do anything" about the coyotes they're just living and will let you alone it's unfortunate about your mom's cat but the coyotes are just trying to eat and they're predators what do people expect? Let them be they're beautiful and sound amazing on a cold winter night.

  • CREEPS THE SHIZNIT OUTTA ME! I LIVE IN STANWOOD, WA N I HEAR THEM AND SEE THEM IN MY FRONT YARD ALL THE TIME!! CREEPY AF!

  • i love how all the comments are stories

  • lmao last night 1 lone coyote woke me up at 2:00 am. he was probably about 50 ft away from the house in the field behind my house. anywhoo after a few minutes of listening to him howl i opened up my window slowly and yelled at him "Hey! I'm trying to sleep here!" After i said that he shut the hell up and i could hear him running towards the very back of the field (couple hundred yards) where he let out one last howl and then i never heard him again.

  • Last night I was laying in bed wide awake and I heard this sound and it sounded like a dog and cat. So I thought it was the dogs next door who got at a cat. I tried opening my bedroom window but it was iced shut so I ran down stairs and I saw something running across the field next to my house and I realized that it was a dog. I opened the window and it looked right at me. That's when I realized it was a coyote. He was so beautiful, white and beige with really gorgeous eyes.

  • Check this out: I was out front of my parents place about a half hour ago, having a smoke. Dead silent out. I was thinking to myself, "its 3:00, thats supposedly the darkest hour of the night" and i was thinking of how there might be a demonic presence nearby, all of a sudden 3 or more packs of coyotes from all different directions start howling away and i saw one of them running right through the front yard!! It scared me shitless coz i had 3:00, ghosts, and demons on the mind haha =)

  • haha man my dog goes crazy when he hears the coyotes and I live in central Il so it's crazy at night. And right when I let him out he goes out howling n actin a foo and they shut up after that.. Here's the funny part- He's a puggle haha :)

  • lots of coyotes in ohio getting fewer and fewer around where i live to many neiborhoods going up still quite a few in Northwest ohio though

  • I scared my city aunt with thus

  • Lol their howls sound so creepy at night. Over at my aunts house you can hear them howling around from a mile away.

  • Nature is ALL about balance.

  • i was trail riding with a friend on our mountain bikes around 1am in the distance we thought we heard someone partying out in the bush as we rode closer we found out it was a pac of coyotes on the other side of the hill we were riding....

2 weeks later we were out riding the same trail about 1:30am we stopped at a rock pile for a rest only to find out we were being followed by a coyote, the coyote starting howling like wolves do to form a pac for a hunt, we got the hell out of there in a hurry.

  • We have coyotes by our farm that sit on some ppls porches, ate all the farm cats and almost killed the new kittens when I go out at night I like to find stuff like this and try to scare them away

  • In my town we had this really mangy coyote and he wasn't scared at all of humans. So one day at a elementary school in the summer at least a 120 (camp and daycare)kids were outside playing and the coyote walks up onto the field... It was to late when they realized it wasn't a domesticated dog and he ended up biting a 2 year old on the arm and started dragging her. She was fine after but the coyote was hunted down and shot :/

  • I love coyotes!!!! This sounds sooo cool!!!

  • wheres this at.?

  • just heard coyotes howling the night b4 last night while camping! hella creepy!

  • oh man brings back horrible memories of when we were camping. ok my brother had shot and killed a rabit with his bb gun(he didnt mean to) so he dragged it away from our camp that night all of a sudden we hear five or six coyotes howling then my mom and brother see eye shine all around our camp and behind it so we high tail it out of there

  • thumbs up if like wolves and coyotes and would never kill them

  • @stpreino thumbs up if your an avid predator hunter!

  • @stpreino hmm.. i kill em all the time

  • I was at my cousin's house in Clinton, NJ today and we heard them off in the forest around 4:30pm today. It sounded at first like a bunch of kids screaming and yelling, then it turned more into stranger sounds. Everyone at the picnic looked at each other because my cousin said they had never heard them during the day, only at night.

  • I just shot one outside my house because it was going for my cat in the backyard. (22 magnum right in the gut/ so he runs far then dies.)

  • @WOWGNOMES Oh, you're so cool. Ever think about just scaring the coyote off with a shot to the ground!

  • @MichaelJohnOwens They're considered varmints, there's nothing wrong with population control.

  • A few years ago I was in my backyard with my dog Olive. (Hence my username) It was winter, so you couldn't exactly hear twigs and leaves cracking. But while I was attempting to build a snowfort, I heard a single branch break. I turned around and made out the figure of a coyote slowly inching towards me, I looked left, there was a 2nd one, more left, a 3rd, I heard another snap and looked right. there were 4 coyotes stalking me. Me and Olive got in the house safe, but I'll always be scarred.

  • we have coyotes and fisher cats in our woods...what's next? :P

  • Just to clarify, coyotes are not necessarily the same things as coy dogs. Lots of coy dogs may have some coyote in them though because I'm pretty sure coy dogs and coyotes do interbreed.

  • I have a .308 and a spotlight that comforts me when we camp lol

  • That's such a cool sound. We get that in my backyard some nights. Eerie...

  • my dog went crazy

  • When I was a kid (about 10) my grandparents had a large farm with forest on it. We were camping and a pack of coyotes came into our camp to investigate us. Of course my beagle dog heard them and started growling and snarling and the coyotes started to freak out. They got so aggressive they starting pushing against the tent. We finally had to fire a shotgun as a warning shot to scare them away. Ever since then I have been terrified of packs of coyotes.

  • how can you dislike this

  • Creepy at night when you're alone but I always like a good fright or adrenaline rush :)

  • lol i was camping at valens for a school trip and we heard some coyotes and we could've sworn they were circling our camp but i stayed up all night and saw one up along a few of my friends tents i was kinda scared :)

  • How close do you think they were?

  • listen to them, children of the night! what music they make!

  • @BobaFettRules321

    If you are quoting Dracula...it

s what sweet music they make. Just sayin

  • reminds me of where i grew up. yotes go go crazy everynight haha my siberian husky i had used to howl back to :P ahh good memories

  • Man i hear this shit every night. But i think were friends. I can be out side or jogging or anything and theyll look at me and wag their tail and if i get too close they run.

  • just tonight i went hunting with my friends and i had to go and get a kill and i got it up off the ground and started walking i tern around and i see the red eyes of 3 coyotes i had shot 3 rounds off dropped the kill and ran for my life

  • @rcw1996

yeah right. you don't see coyotes eyes as red at night. they appear yellow. nice try.

  • @rcw1996 you jackass liar

  • hate hearing that out in the country here it always gives me the willies

  • I always hear the coyotes around the barn when fall comes. They roam the country side hunting and trying to fatten up for winter. It's so scary when your out in the pasture alone and you hear them. O.o It gives me chills lol

  • I was at scout camp this last week, and it sucked, because i was doing this merit badge were you have to make your own shelter, and sleep in it, and every half an hour or so i would wake up to the sound of the coyotes just over the hill, it was creepy.

  • @hydradionysus - wherebouts was this?

  • lol meh dog gets so scared when she hears this XD

  • damn there close to your house man

  • i was once in the woods with my friend and it was really hazy out like a really creepy night holy shit there were coyotes like 30 of them suronding up but we had flash lights and tourches so we were fine.

  • you dont miss that when your camping especially not when they start moving towards ya,weve got a pack that moves about 8.15 every night its freaky ,thers a bunch of em,but i dont think theyll come around a fire.

  • wat is that white thing at 0:27

  • ever try to hunt coyotes in the dark with a single shot 12 gauge and no spotlights?it isn't easy.i use audio clips like this and play it through speakers set outside and they come in real close to check it out.i missed a shot from about 15 feet away with a 2 3/4 slug but sprayed the other one with some bird shot from about 50 feet away.i'll get those little bastards yet just wait and see....

  • @grasscat1977 They have been eating my cats. I'm not amused. I think a large hawk is helping itself as well..

  • yeah we have tons of red tailed hawks in the area and cats have a life expectancy of about 1 week around here.one of those big birds nailed my doxen and started to fly off with him but then dropped him from about 12 feet up.i guess it's true;you gotta be tough if you wanna live in the west.

  • @grasscat1977 I made a video of a large red tail hawk. My "Purrr" cat was all upset. I'm slow sometimes. I should have shot it then. I have lost 4 cats since then. I think its titled "Is this Hawk eating my cats". But my 6yr old Siamese "Americat", at over 15 lbs, had to be something else.

  • @grasscat1977 - doxen is a cat? the red tailed hawks eat cats? nah man. a full grown cat is too big. however great Horned Owls are common - big suckers too. they could take a cat, and up in Northern Ontario have even been seen taking poodles and flying off with em . this Doxen - did it survive being taken and dropped 12 feet?? I hope so

  • @originalrecoil doxen is a dog...aka weiner dog,still alive and raising hell.

  • awesome! we are going to play this so our dogs can hear it. :P

  • last year i was over at my friend house for a sleep over and it was about 10pm and we where outside playing on her swingset cuz we where boared and then we hear this animal shriek from the forest and a over flow of coyotes started yipping and snarling we got so scared we ran back to the house

  • @wolfsrose21 almost the same thing happened to me, but of course I just had to be walking a stallion back to his stall at the top of a hill... an animal screeched and next thing you knew 15 coyotes were running around you howling.. you could see the eyes reflecting the light.

  • @wolfsrose21 what did the shriek sound like?

  • ugh i get soo creeped out when i hear the coyotes. i get home when it's dark and of course there's no room for my car to be parked in the garage cuz of my parent's cars. so i park in the driveway and everything is still until i hear these frickin coyotes howling at it literally FREAKS ME OUT. one night i was gettin out of my car and I SWEAR there was a coyote howlin in my backyard it sounded so loud and close omg i peed my pants.

  • @soccerchic14816 I have coyotes in my backyard too. Last week they ate my moms cat. =( I heard them howl almost every other night and I swear it sounds like they are just right outside my window which they probably are. I see them during the day strolling the plains by my backyard and I guess at night they come creeping close. We have to do something about it.

  • @soccerchic14816 when I was only five, I went outside alone at night and this house we were visiting was surrounded by woods and all around me coyotes were howling, but when I answered, everything went dead silent then after a while I heard whimpering as they ran away!

  • omg this hapened last nite around 12:45 i live on a field nd there were coyotes in the field nd that is lagit rite next to my bedroom window. i was terrified nd my cat was out there and i started cryin i think the sound of coyotes r worse then fishercats. but of course im 14 so of course i cried i couldnt sleep for the rest of the nite

  • r u a girl

  • I heard coyotes howl last night and they were so close--sounded like they were just behind the backyard. It was so freaky and loud.

  • i love the sound of coyotes. coyotes hunt in two's or threes just sounds like more cuz they yip yip howl, wolves on the other hand hunt in packs of 10 if u hear them all around u that is a lot more scary

  • @sk8r4lyf6969 not true they do hunt in more than 12 to a pac cuz ther is a pac of about 14 that comes to my house evry night

  • good they are noisy I hope I never see one again

  • This is a true story I was camping with my friends at my best friends farm and i was about 12:00 o'clock at night and all of a sudden a pack of coyotes were coming because we could here them they where really creepy... so we took off on the quads.

  • I have 2 Kuvaszok--large white livestock guardian dogs--they are used for predator control. In a recent newsletter from the 'Kuvasz Club of Canada' a member described how one of her Kuvaszok was attacked on her farm, and the second one joined the fight to help--she felt certain that coyotes were the culprits. The first dog was somewhat injured.

  • yup sounds like my home

  • There has been three coyotes getting close to my backyard, I have a one year old german shepard in the backyard. I dont know if the coyotes are after my dog or what!!

  • No, they won't. My dogs are all tethered outside (I have sled dogs) on the far back of the property and bears and coyotes come to check them out but they really keep their distance.

  • I used to hear coyotes near to my home late at night--maybe a quarter mile off. They sounded VERY creepy--like some kind of maniacal laughter. It really gave you the chills--it sounded much stranger than the ones here. I have not heard them for some time now--but they are still common in my area of southern New Brunswick, Canada.

  • Ours sound that creepy thing too. They sound like a bunch of drunken rednecks yelling "whoo-hooo!!" out of their cars! That's what I thought it was for the longest time.

  • Is it just me or do they sound EXTREMELY close? There howl is so weird but yet so pretty.

  • I'd love to be able to hear them in person

  • I did, I searched this to find out if what I heard was a coyote and it sounded just like this... and it did!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You really dont...no matter how used to them you are, you always get the chills. I hear coyotes all the time and where i live we actually have timberwolves which where just reintroduced to the area so youll always hear a much deeper longer howl which scares the living jesus out of ya b.c u know its a big ol timber wolf.

  • Trust me you don't...

  • When they all just howl a low kind of moaning howl...it's peaceful to me...

  • Very nice!

  • nothing to be scared about

  • omg. thank yu SO much :|

i hear this noise alone at 2 in the morning it woke me up alot and scared me im not gonna lie :P but i dont think i have reason to be scared..now i know wat it is :)

  • Howling at the moon??? I miss hearing that at night. Sux living in town.
