@mikcatz I've found the solution, if you haven't for yourself by now.

Just go talk to that woman, she'll get angry about you giving the book to the guild and tell you to steal it back for her.

Do this, give it to her, wait 24 hours, talk to her again, read the note she gave you, go to Cloud Top with a welkynd stone in your inventory and an electric spell equiped, cast the spell on the pillar, done.

Tip: If you don't have a lightning spell you can use (I didn't) you can use a lightning spell scroll. The trade-off is pretty damn good, I think. One weak lightning scroll for a semi-powerful, yet low-level lightning spell. Just make sure you have a welkand stone, there's an Aleyid ruin not far from cloud top in case you don't (Careful, traps)

after you give the book to the guy at the guild. he says he will put it in a good place. follow him to his room and steal the book back once he walks away....go to her and you will still get your recomendation to the university.

@zwind999 lvl up your intelligence.certain spells require say 250 magica.if you do not have 250 magica points then u cant use it.lvl up your intelligence to increase the amount magica u have.

Choose the way to give the book. You can give it to Teekeeus and steal it from him to give it to Garana. Or you can give it to Garana and steal it from her to give it to Teekeeus.

You can give the book to Garana and steal it from her to give it to Teeekeeus. The other way, is to give it to Teekeeus and steal it from him to give it to Garana.

I've been stuck for ages just trying to get this stupid Finger of the Mountain spell, and I have got the Welkynd stone (several), but there are no shock spells in my inventory/spellbook or anything. Where can I learn it? Is it something wrong with my class or something? I play a class of my own, sort of agility/warrior type.

@ScumbagKorain a guy in the mages guild (Bruma) sold me a shock spell I think it cost me around 90 Gil. it only had 20 shock power but that's all I needed and it worked. (I also already had a Weyklnd stone already and thier are some Alyeid ruins not far from cloud top more up and right a a little) the guy in Bruma I think his name started with V. he plays pranks on Jeanne :)

L O L ur retarded its not 200 points damae the highest damage a spell does is i think 70 idk but i hav da spell and only has 20 points damagei hav a spell already betetr than that with 45 damage u only need 50 destruction and 84 magicka

Yes it is, its a leveled spell meaning its power is based on your level at level 26+ with 100 destruction it cost 710 magicka and does 200 shock damage 10ft on target

Once given to Earana, meet her later on in the Grey Mare, she will give you notes, wait a little, then when she is gone, take fingers of the mountain out of her chest average lock and return to Teekus.

You can find an Aleyid ruin just north of Leywind or you can keep going on the main quest until you have to go into one. Martin will give you the point on the map.
