i am so sad i cant believe what happened to him! he was like one in a million ponies if that even make any since but i loved him so much and will always remember him! rest in peace baby boy! luv ya lots!
..................Man, it Reaffirms my long held belief in how beautiful All Animals are...........why cant we HUMANS be as good as these Wonderful creatures?
That whole thing with Amy Tryon disgusts me. How can she even be called an equestrian? Shame on her. She made the eventing world look so heartless for everyone who doesn't completely understand it.
here here. my dad trains racehorses, and he has seen alot of badthings, and wheen we were watching the eventin enland we saw what happened to his leg and he was shocked that she did not even notice. shame that happened because he was so honest and genuine that even with his awful injury he continued jumping and did whas asked of him. if amy pulled him up he wouuld still be here.
shane that amy tyron ruined such a gr8 event with her stupid antics, i can't beleive she only got a 3 year ban from eventing horses so she still can ride and keep horses and a $1000 fine.
if i was that judge i would stop her from ever keeping horses and completely rip up her eventing lisence.
amy tyron rode a horse called le samurai. 3/4 rs of the war round he collapsed all supporting ligaments in his right front leg, but she continued to ride him around, and came up with the excuse that she could not feel the horse lame, 2 days later he was put down and an investigation took place. and that was wot she as punished with bove. the horse was so genuine that he jumped every jump no question even though he had appaling injuries
I just wanted to comment on this because after reading your comments about Tyron I went back to check my information because I was sure that Le Samurai had not been pushed through almost an entire course injured...and after reading 4 articles a second time and looking at my videos that I had on the subject...all of which were good sources...vets all agreed Le Samurai collapsed his ligaments on the second to last fence...and being ridden over that last is what did him in.
I'm not agreeing with Tyron in any way I just feel that facts should be straight, as well it is unfair to say such horrid comments about an international competitor who when asked about Le Samurai was in tears for the loss of such an honest animal I do not feel any top level equestrian can make it in the sport without truly having a passion for the animals... no?
To further that point especially in eventing where you lose more then you make...if Tryon was simply in the business to make money you would most likely see her in jumpers..
I do not wish a reply I just had to voice my opinion as many of you seem to have forgotten accidents happen and I for one know if such a thing (heaven forbid) happened to my horse that last thing I would want would to have such snide comments about a freak injury being my fault, I'd imagine Tyron has placed much blame on herself already wondering what she could have done to change the outcome.
"Teddy" is 14.1 3/4". His dam is a 13 hand TB/Arab/Shetland, daddy is a 16.2 hand TB. My sister just had a foal out of her kid's 13.1 h pony jumper,(the year they actively campained her she was second in the nation in Pony Jumpers before she slipped on wet grass hurt herself for a couple weeks). Daddy is a pinto 17h Dutch Warmblood/TB cross. :)
Theodore is 14.1 hands. He is such an amazing little pony! I love him! I hope she is able to take him to the Olympics some year, that would be just breath taking.
Teddy is such an ambassador for ponies. With the right training, temperament and build, look what ponies can do. Of course, it certainly helps to have an Olympic rider of Karen O'Connor's caliber in the irons:-)))
