  • both Adele and Alison are very talented in their own, you cannot compare,

  • So a beautiful voice and sexy lady ;o)

  • So a beautiful voice and sexy lady ;o)

  • FUCK ADELE.

  • Adele is great. But Alison? We loved her then and after seeing this I realise that we are still in love with her still. Madly!!!

  • Never heard of Adele until about 5 minutes ago on Youtube. When I heard Adele, I immediately thought of Alison and came here. Adele is fine, but Alison feels like an original and would have the same stardom as Adele if she were starting her career today.

  • great song but she's pinched the 'ba badum' from the flying pickets

  • WIV U M8 ADELE PROPER OVERATED

  • this woman is so sexy and talented, the hell with adele!!

  • @killbotone - Truly a goddess no doubt, but there is room for others in their time.

  • det min måde maria ..

  • She still sucks!

  • absolutely the best female vocals, always loved Alison's music!

  • Though it has a lot less hits, this has to be one of the best renditions of this song. Also check out the Royal Albert Hall version of Dec. 2009. Alison and Vince sond better now than they ever did.

  • Who posted this and was there any more from this performance ?

  • beautiful!!!!

  • top song sung by a top woman

  • A great singer in the classical tradition

  • Note perfect as usual.............

  • Beautiful!

  • I´m all in, it´s still a hit

  • Have loved her voice n songs since 26years ago... Yazoo!

  • superb voice, beautiful lady. Graceful and soulful

  • nice voice, shame about the chip shop

  • I've always loved her voice, and never thought she sounded like a man. I much prefer her rich beautiful voice to those high, squeeky ones. : ) She's great.

  • wow, better than any brit today

  • Sending shivers up and down my spine. Beautifull!!!

  • Her voice has improved with age.

  • Fabulous singer. Fabulous song....but I still prefer the style of the vocal arrangements done by The Flying Pickets when they did their cover.

  • One word WOW

  • Still amazing after all these years. I love this woman's voice. :)

  • stare,ale nowe i aktualne!

  • No No No Yazoo and Erasure is Projekt of Vincent and the still alive

Yazoo is Back with new Album and Erasure is Back with new Album and this year Vincent wil play again with Depeche Mode and Vincent brings Cyndie Lauper Back

  • she sings ,,, that old devil called love again ,,,,, better than anyone ,,,

  • Her voice is as good as it was when I first heard her back in 1982 when she was in the group Yazoo.. Her talent is underestimated. I don't know why is not in the limelight today.

  • @mattie591 I agree!!!

  • @SamOfTheSound me too

  • Love this song! Love Alison Moyet! And yes....when I listen to Adele today I think of this Girl here.

  • Amazing voice still.

  • fantastyczny głos Alison,dziękuję

  • What a voice!!!!!

  • I'm sure Paul McCartney wishes he wrote this... it's a CLASSIC! Period. And THIS is how you sing it. Period.

  • Before Adele we had Alison.and her voice. She does not sound like a man. Here I sit listing to a song that is 25 years old and it still give me goose bumps.

  • @kinetic2013 This song is the child of an underated musical genius called VINCE CLARKE.Alison Moyet was merely part of Yazoo (Yaz in the USA).It was Vince Clarke who wrote, played and produced this epic.

  • @nighterjay By the way, Vince Clarke (real name Vince Martin) was a founder member of Depeche Mode........Alison was friends with the guys in Depeche Mode in the early 80's and all originate from Basildon Essex England.

  • @nighterjay

Not to mention one half of Erasure as well

  • @tdjdk not one half of erasure, one half of yazoo.

  • @mardav06

My answer was on Vince and not Allison.

Vince was in, like nighterjay correctly stated, Depeche Mode, then Yazoo with Allison and then Erasure with Andy Bell

  • @kinetic2013 30 yrs old

  • @kinetic2013 I think it's actually thirty years old this year but it really only emphasises just what a good piece of music can do. Wonderful song and she always gives a good rendition. I wish you love, peace and well-being all your life.

  • @kinetic2013 ELO were described (I think by John) as "the sons of the Beatles" (I'm a HUGE fan of the 'existence' of Jeff Lynne). Because of your comment I can see myself, some time in the future, describing Adele as a "Daughter of Alison Moyet" :) With 100% due respect to ALL of the above artists of course.

  • @kinetic2013 NO ONE CAN SAY THAT ANY BETTER!!!!

  • still as lovely as ever even if she added a bit of weight and her vocal never fades

  • @thotoyz that clip was 2006. By 2009 was slimmer than ever and regardless of her weight at any time she always had a great voice.

  • One of the best Female vocalists ever.

  • @Jabbafumi true, true.. but have you ever heard Amy lee?

  • @Jabbafumi Alison - marry me!!!!!!

  • In a world full of uninteresting cover versions by bland acts, it's great to hear the original act doing it, and well. Great job Alison.

  • love this!

  • If ignorance is bliss, some of you must be ecstatic!! This is a great version of the song - idiots!

  • @siggybrz Grow up

  • @siggybrz You are a loser.

  • @siggybrz You fucktard, she is the original singer. You are a piece of shit.

  • i play this song in the 73rd birmingham BB marching band

  • Wow, this version blew me away. So beautiful! I didn't think I could love the song any more than I already did.

  • @Noelle8381 I went in2 it wanting to hate this version........i love it more..

  • Always loved this song.

  • If this voice/talent/heart isn't on Adele's list of MAJOR influences, I'll eat my shoe.

  • I love you Alison!!!! Yazoo for ever!

  • Man you suck. Stop screwing upa great song!

  • @siggybrz : Philistine

  • @treeshakin huh?

  • @siggybrz : Philistine = someone regarded as being ignorant, uncultured, and indifferent or hostile to artistic and intellectual achievement. Get a dictionary. Also, Moyet is the original vocalist for this song when she fronted Yaz, so the joke's on you, loser.

  • @siggybrz who the hell are you talking to?

  • @PhobiaGuy IM talking about this cover off this song. Cant you read dipshit!

  • @siggybrz This could do with a comma and an apostrophe or two! Sure I can read, but can you type? Keep an eye on those caps too!

  • @siggybrz This is not a cover, it is HER song, OMG

  • @siggybrz This is the original. Vince Clarke wrote it, Alison Moyet sang it. They are called Yazoo. A double "A" side of their first ever single it was first released in UK on 15 March 1982. She doesn't sound "like a man". Most men in pop sing in falsetto or top of a tenor range. Alison has a gorgeous contralto voice (heard more in classical and jazz music) rather than the shrieking that passes for most female pop vocalists. I hope I have educated you a little.

  • @muscleboi4use You have, and I would hope others would undestand.

  • @muscleboi4use totally agree...

  • That made the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end.

  • you just know this girl loves cock

  • The most beautiful song - thank you for this version

  • incredible voice :D xx

  • I got goosebumps when the violins started, amazing version of this song. Thank you Alison :)

  • She has such a lovely voice!

  • This was written about a an old friend of mine, still makes me cry, thanks Vince.

  • going back 30 years ago, listening to this piece of poetry with an old tape recorder on the beach with a girl I was in love with...

    sweet memories

    thanks Alison

  • And then God created ... Alison Moyet

  • @pdheaton amen

  • you are a total tosser you used alisons name to promote your shit stuff please just die.

  • luv it so much...AMAZING!!!!!!!

  • best voice in UK and US

  • Tears just welled up in my eyes... To Ms Moyet: this was a wonderful remake of your ORIGINAL SONG from your days in Yazoo back in the 80s. Truly beautiful. Thanks for all the wonderful memories you've made in our hearts & minds through your voice and music. It's truly appreciated.

  • Funny people on this page are talking about Adele b/c I've been saying for ages that Adele looks JUST LIKE Alison! ;) Amazing singers must come from that mold. ;p

  • adele should suing this song

  • @aviles1323 what are you talking about dude? are you joking?? this song's been around before adele was even around!! wtf!!

  • @johnnywasted ok let me rephrase i would love to hear adele sing this song ... of course its been around way before her

  • So Beautiful !!!!!!!!!!

  • she has such a beautiful voice :)

    best version of this song

  • She sings beautifull!!!!

(i wish to be born in the 80s)

  • @Mitko54682DS good call, it was a great time to be a teenager :)

  • the most beautiful voice on earth

  • beautiful!!! simply saying it!

  • She's awesome but the piano is wanky

  • @lunaboomboom i am a piano player and its not to bad

  • @colandbev the dude's a good player, it's just that i do not like that style at all. the cold precise synth was a perfect foil to the bluesy vocals

  • @lunaboomboom i understand np

  • Love you Allison

  • NOBODY, I MEAN, NOBODY, WILL EVER MATCH ALISON'S VOCAL TALENT! NEVER!!!!

  • Beautiful

  • Alison FTW! God, I love this song....

  • better than the original

  • BRILLIANT - Adele should bow to her -

  • @J9Love2U right on...they all owe ms moyet...she is flawless! i always wanted alison and annie lennox to duet....what a hauntingly beautiful duet that would be! peace.

  • @roccostwin I always wanted to see a Rod Stewart and Bonnie Tyler duet. That would be intriguing too.

  • What a voice. Magic

  • Beautiful woman, beautiful voice, beautiful song, beautiful instrumentation!!!

  • She has a magical voice!!

  • Such a beautiful re-working of an already classic song from an absolutely superb vocalist! The piano works magnificently with this, makes it purer!

  • MAGIC!

  • does anyone know where i can get the piano music for this version or the chords so i can work it - would love to be able to play it on piano and sing it as well - might record it if i can do it and post it on here

  • I love the piano in this instead of the synth on the actual record. Beautiful, sincere song, beautifully rendered.

  • I Wish I Could Give Her A Hug... She's so lovely !!!

  • @icj1980 I agree:-)

  • Beautiful song, beautiful voice.

  • amazing

  • nice voice but rough and i seriously wouldn't

  • @bubble2618 she is famous and successful and out of your league so regardless that you would you will never get that oppitunity

  • @bubble2618 Do you reall imagine she'd be remotely interested in you even if she had a chance.

  • you sing like an angel alison xxxxx

  • what a gift

  • The voice hasn't changed... Like a good wine, matured in years.

  • Alison, espectacular voz

  • what a great touching version of the song.xxxx

  • Thank you.

  • Thanks Alison, you are wonderful !

  • dedicated this song to my babe cos I love her so much :)

  • much prefer this version to the original, and I love 80s synth music - this song seems to work much better when its slowed down and softer.

  • @TwelveBridges Perhaps, though i do like both them equally . Current version sounds smoothly with that piano in the background . The way she re-recorded this song is gorgeous ! instead of synths used over 20 years before

  • @TwelveBridges

it reminds me in composition to the Candlelight remix of Heaven by DJ Sammi (songs a bit different tho tbh lol)

  • thanks alf-from an essex boy/ beautiful tune sums up life in a few mins xxxx

  • Beautiful =)

  • Alison is a class act.

  • a beautiful mellow bellow. she's a true wonder :)

  • awesome

  • I'm crying right now, I didn't think it was possible to love this song anymore than I already do. She is amazing

  • such a great song.......still get a lump in my throat whenever I hear it.......

  • Classy as always

  • wonderful. what more can i say

  • beautiful girl with a beautiful voice

  • one word....YAZ......

  • I think I've been in love with this woman since the early 80's. Not in an unhealthy stalker with a shrine way. :u/

  • What a great song, I remember this from when I was a young 'un.

    Lovely stuff Cyril

  • i grew up on 80s hip hop, fleetwood mac, and the birth of dance music, but fucking hell -

that was awesome. girls aloud take note.

  • She is looking so much better now than she ever did when she was younger.

  • How old is she now?

  • 48 and she is very very good live. New concerts announced for UK November and December. If you can go and see her. You won't be disappointed.

  • Amazing. Love her.
