I will be visiting leuven soon, how safe is the city?

we stayed in all over belgium for about 8 days, safe everywhere, didn't have any problems at all.

It's not the Grand Place... it's the 'Oude Markt' which translates as 'Old Market'. The 'Grote Markt' (Grand Place) is near though.
