I don't know, because I've never played bass, but doesn't it get a little boring playing alot of the same notes? I play guitar, because I have to move my hands alot more than that....I get twitchy~

Really depends on the song, this songs happens to be a repetitive track. Sometimes a bassline can be very melodic, take soul to squeeze as an example.

I play the bass and I like playing the bass over guitar because I like the low end in a song, working with a drummer and providing the groove.
