This is the song i fell in love with Richard & Linda to - and i've heard a number of folks take it on. This was perfect for Emmylou, and she for it. And yes - this is Richard Thompson - from Down Like Silver - when he was in love with Linda & their songs were prayers sung together....

It sounds more like Linda Thompson than Emmylou to me. I'm not convinced.

@rainbowalleycat Well, a bit more research (google--what else?!) and I see I am wrong, this appeared on "Portraits" album 1996. I must be too used to hearing her sing more countryish stuff, which she also does better than the originals usually. This one is an eyeopener for me.
