I can't believe that not one person didn't have the guts to stop and help this little boy. Instead they watched as this monster killed this little helpless boy, and by the time the police arrived the child was mortally beaten. Excuse me, but who was the one who had the demons ? No, bad work; should've shot to incapacitate. Officer Ramar killed the guy, so he gets off with no punishment whatsoever. Killing people isn't a punishment, there isn't any suffering involved. The worst thing you can do to someone is imprisonment. Trapping someone in a place they can never leave? I can imagine no greater hell on earth.

What suffering can be endured in the split second it takes to die from a bullet to the head? Yes, pakzukz, I feel that death, a simple cessation of existence, is not a punishment. Nothing happens to you, you don't feel anything, you're not aware of anything, no punishment occurs. Suffering is punishment, oblivion is not.

have you ever tried to engage things from an ethical point of view? people that wish to die, do not void the fact that taking someones life is the most severe punishment possible. i'd rather question that kind of "proper" punishment, when it's strong enough to erase one's will to live and survive - which is the most powerful force in every living creature. objectively speaking, you might even be right. however, life is not really objective at all.

I've *been* "engaging things from an ethical point of view". My ethics apparently differ greatly from yours; not a bad thing, necessarily, though it does seem to cause confusion. Killing a child, (killing people at all, really, barring self defense) deserves a lifetime of suffering. Fed enough to keep you alive, no human contact. Dark, quiet, no way of measuring the passage of time but your meals, and no way out. Sound worse than death yet? Add random shocks from the floor and walls; cold, heat.

My immediate reaction to this report was disgust at the bystanders...
Personally, I would have dispatched that deranged soul to whatever hell he was spawned from, instead of watching and calling police. Then again I am 6'4" 260lbs.....who knows what the bystanders were...women, old persons, even some men could be forgiven for being to scared to intervene....who knows how big this monster was, he could have been a beast.

I can't really condemn the bystanders for not intervening here, quite honestly I'm sure such a sight would throw the average person in shock. It's easy to sit behind your computer and say what you would have done, most would probably done the same in that situation.
Not everyone is a so courageous in the face of such horror, I'd wager half of the people condemning them would have shriveled up like these bystanders did. 99% of people would be terrified seeing such an atrocity.
