I wish they were allowed to design thier own lighting and that the camera work were a little more like a dance performance... it would really do this routine justice...
Oh wow, this is fascinating! I'm totally intrigued by the upper body stuff they do with the arm postures @ 1:25 ish... I'm glad the camera zooms on that, very dramatic with the music.
Superb synchronization with a graceful and athletic performance. However, I have to agree that the music is a bit rigid and does not adequately reflect the cheery nature of this beautiful sport.
Livelier music would add much to this excellent performance by the two Japanese girls.
To be frankly, I do not like this music at all. As a foreigner, what is the theme of this music? Actually, I also do not like the musics Japanese team chose in the past 2 years. The favourite one to for is the one with team free routine in 2006.

me,too.

I don't know...sorry.
Totally, the performance of Japan duet and team(music and choreography)are modest,in last two years. Not exciting, gorgeous or strong.
My favorite performance of Japanese Synchronized swimming are "The Fire Bird"(team free Sydney 2000) and "Japanese Doll"(duet free Athene 2004).

I think this is not bad as a music, but not good as a music for syincronized swimming.
This is not catchy at all and too difficult to make audience understand the theme.
The theme of this music is "竜虎流麗" (Beautiful dance of Dragon and Tiger)
Anyway, Taro Iwashiro is a great composer. He composed many dramatical sound tracks, like the music of "RED CLIFF".

Sure.I think so.One of his music the theme of 葵・徳川三代is very cool and magnificence.
