It takes a 12v battery to make .5VAC? What's the point of this? I could attach a DC motor from a radioshack toy, power it with a car battery, and produce much more AC voltage than that. You've just made a really inefficient voltage converter.

Permanent magnets don't lose force, dude. They will decay in thousands of years under normal conditions, and maybe a little bit sooner under opposing coercive fields or hotter conditions. The factor is so small that it is safe to assume full conservation.
As for the 1/2 volt, if the current is the same on the secondary, that 1/2 volt is a breakthrough of the highest magnitude. However, it is easy to get more voltage out of a circuit. Without a current increase to supplement the voltage...
like any magnet motor, if the magnets run out of their magnetical force, the whole motor is simply worthless. And you need more energy to make that magnetical motor then you ever get out of that small magnets....
