  • RIP Pete Postelthwaite 1946 - 2011

  • I'm always in tears at the appeal trial when they are freed. My RE teacher insisted that Gerard was involved with the bombing, he was adamant. I don't know much about the case, is it true that Gerard and his father were never in the same prison? I guess when your imprisoned for fifteen years for something that you didn't do, it's ok to take a dramtic license for the film for effect. It is a superb film.

  • awsome

  • Since that scene nothing is the same, world open your eyes, no more injustice, NEVER

  • This is masterpiece.

  • You've gotta love the Rasta, man :D

  • God Save Ireland, and in retrospect, the whole bleedin planet. 'An eye for an eye will leave us all blind".

  • Well said!

  • Thank you. I feel for my relatives over there. The native Irish insulting Irish-Americans is of no benefit to anyone.Irish-Americans don't need Ireland,we honour our parents +grandparents struggle for equality. I will never return to Ireland, because of hostility towards a few" Plastic Paddies" have dared calling themselves Irish. That doesn't mean they are saying they are Irish, it only means they are proud their people are from there. God Bless to the world.

  • @vinnyhoags Only Gobshites would do that over here - you can be sure regular Irish people would rather Irish decendents such as yourself over those twats

  • @dadubs93 Good to know, well said. God Bless.

  • @vinnyhoags you should return! Don't let a minority of assholes (who are present in very country ) put you off. I'm Irish 150%, proud of it, and am proud to meet any American who has Irish roots. As we say here- to hell with the begrudgers!:)

  • @vinnyhoags Yeah I agree mate. I've load of American cousins and they have as much right to Irish culture as I do.

  • Yous all should watch Michael Collins if yous think this is a tear jeaker, two brilliant films

  • the first time I saw this seen and film I cried more than I've ever cried before....

  • That's a real tear jerker.

  • This is one of the most powerfull scenes in a movie ever. When i saw this i almost crie and i'm not a sentimental guy.

  • "You made me the thief of your heart" by Sinead O'Connor.

  • Shivers

  • This scene still gives me chills. Amazing!!!

  • This has happened in every country in the world including Ireland. They were released and financially comphensated. Unlike all the irish men and women and teens tried in IRA kangaroo courts and murdered and their bodies never found. Google 'Jean McConville'.
