Do you realize what stand by time is? It is when the phone is not in use. There is no way that the phone would last only 24 hours when not using it...

Yes it goes from vertical to horizontal and the keyboard does the same.

thanks so much! it only does in certain thing like internet and messaging not just like on the home screen. the sideways keyboard is really crammed and not as good as the vertical one i think though.
