Checked out some Suffocation.... they're pretty average, crappy production, all you can hear is the drums, Nile or Necrophagist are the way to go for brutal metal.
Scene metal, are you kidding me? The Black Dahlia Murder is straight up death-core, with black metal/death metal style vocals. They've been around since before the scene evolved, and they are popular because they're good. Suffocation is alright but not near as technical as BDM.
Also. The only thing I think you can improve upon (I know this cuz I cant really do it either), use your pinky more when soloing or just playing the difficult shit. It comes in handy, but I cant really use my pinky for soloing either. It sucks, but it helps a whole lot more.
I agree. I have a Warlock too and the strings cant go low for shit. But Slipknot managed to play in fuckin B which is way the fuck low.
And since I dont like playing low, D is the lowest I go...I play BDM in standard D since thats what my band uses, its just easier. It doesnt make much of a difference. Chances are you knew that though cuz it seems as though you know how to play well and know a lot about guitars.

Its obvious your a BDM fan cu you can play their shit, so just fyi, and you might know this, they play in C standard (that includes this album). Great work man. Pure art haha!
