I know some truckers here in Norway, they tell me the trucks used in this show is quite old technology. The gearing problems they have at times, missing gears etc. is a thing of the past using modern trucks and they don't experience this here in Norway.

Once when I was on the road a long semi truck passed another semi truck on a tiny road in Finnmark. It was crazy and it was in winter

I'm a trucker and live in Manitoba. This IRT is a joke. We live in the frozen north 8 months of the year. I can go from - 30 to +20 in two days and back to the north the next trip. Us Canadians can our run them any day. Yes I know 2 are from Canada, There from BC where it's warm in the winter. The show should put someone on from Manitoba.

She has changed flat tires, which in one instance was seen on “IRT Deadliest Roads” while trucking in the Himalayas in India. Lisa also hauls “Doubles.” We as truckers know that learning within the Domain of trucking never ends, it remains ongoing, and always will be….No one knows how many more trucking associated responsibilities Lisa deals with in her every day life.
I realize when someone sees Lisa for the first time, they are in disbelief as to what she is doing. On the ice roads Lisa has run explosives, oversized loads, and she has been active in “Push Truck” operations on the ice roads as well. She has handled commodities in the “Heavy Haul Division” of Carlile Transportation out of their Fairbanks facility, of which many drivers never see; such as Pipe in 80 ft. lengths on a super-stretch trailer from Fairbanks to Prudhoe Bay.
Hugh was nothing short of a selfish self-centered pinhead, who only cared about #1. As truckers we have come across addlebrained drivers such as him from time to time, of that I have no doubt. He is not even worth mentioning.
I hold a very special admiration for Lisa. She is a hard working young woman and puts her heart and soul into every run she makes. I see her as a daughter, and care about her as such. “Snowman II”..........................Stay safe !!

Anyone who denies “missing a shift,” is living in a fantasy world. You saw Lisa having a problem with “Hi & Low-Range” transitions, but it is not an ongoing problem. She is an excellent driver, and floats those 18 gears smoothly..

The stars are talentless blowhards and boneheads who, driving industry garbage like Volvos and Internationals, manufacture melodrama out of thin air. The majority of truck drivers,aside from rookies and truck-stop hero's, know that there is about as much risk and danger in this work as making toast The show clearly illustrates what no talent/expertise, sporting tough-guy tattoos and running an 18 speed mouth looks like.

The best advice to the rookie....go logging or oil-patch and stay away from these low rent clowns.

In Alberta look to the oil-patch with decent companies like Mullen, Formula-Powell, Swanberg, PeBen or some of the smaller fluid hauling companies where a good driver easily makes over 100 k per year. Or go logging
(avoid other rip off artists and gougers like Plains, Enermax, Gibson Energy, RBS Bulk, Chief and Trimac to name a few)

I'm a trucker and live in Manitoba. This IRT is a joke. We live in the frozen north 8 months of the year. I can go from - 30 to +20 in two days and back to the north the next trip. Us Canadians can our run them any day. Yes I know 2 are from Canada, There from BC where it's warm in the winter. The show should put someone on from Manitoba.

I myself drive a truck and the company I work for sales a ton of product. Without the sales I get smaller loads and sometimes none at all. So I give thanks to the people who buy product. It keeps my job going and the more money I make.

I am a trucker I don't know why trucking is supposed to be just a guy's job.once you get the knack of it, it's a boring job not hard at all until the road's get crappy then you have to use good judgement and it's sometimes hard on the nerve's.I think that being a woman she try's to hard to prove herself one day it might get her in trouble.I think the best trucker was dave i would feel the safest riding with .he has good common sence

Lisa also hauls “Doubles.” We as truckers know that learning within the Domain of trucking never ends, it remains ongoing, and always will be….No one knows how many more trucking associated responsibilities Lisa deals with in her every day life.

I realize when someone sees Lisa for the first time, they are in disbelief as to what she is doing. On the ice roads Lisa has run explosives, oversized loads, and she has been active in “Push Truck” operations on the ice roads as well. She has handled commodities in the “Heavy Haul Division” of Carlile Transportation out of their Fairbanks facility, of which many drivers never see; such as Pipe in 80 ft. lengths on a super-stretch trailer from Fairbanks to Prudhoe Bay.

Lisa does not have to prove her abilities to anyone. Missing gears is a part of being a trucker, we all do it now and then, and at times, it is embarrassing. Anyone who denies “missing a shift,” is living in a fantasy world. You saw Lisa having a problem with “Hi & Low-Range” transitions, but it is not an ongoing problem. She is an excellent driver, and floats those 18 gears smoothly..

This show has done more to damage the trucking industry than helped. The stars are talentless blowhards and boneheads who, driving industry garbage like Volvos and Internationals, manufacture melodrama out of thin air. The majority of truck drivers,aside from rookies and truck-stop hero's, know that there is about as much risk and danger in this work as making toast The show clearly illustrates what no talent/expertise, sporting tough-guy tattoos and running an 18 speed mouth looks like.

@mysweeteventhorizon Unfortunately, this show has solved the driver shortage for a true bottom feeding trucking company who's reputation for garbage equipment, incompetent management and low pay preceded them from Vancouver to Halifax: RTL Robinson (now owned by another group of bottom feeding rate cutters, the Tri West Group which includes such industry superstars as WestCan and Pauls Hauling)
The best advice to the rookie....go logging or oil-patch and stay away from these low rent clowns.

In Alberta look to the oil-patch with decent companies like Mullen, Formula-Powell, Swanberg, PeBen or some of the smaller fluid hauling companies where a good driver easily makes over 100 k per year. Or go logging
(avoid other rip off artists and gougers like Plains, Enermax, Gibson Energy, RBS Bulk, Chief and Trimac to name a few)
