Thanks this was a very helpful video. This removal of the A2 front sight was what I was mainly looking for. The only question I have is, are all the tapered pins usually for most A2 sights that come originally with the barrel that easy to remove? Or are there some that are very difficult to remove? Because I am planning to get a BCM complete uppper group and it comes with an A2 sight that I don't want, and plan to replace it with a low profile gas block. I want to install a quad rail handguard.
Very clear and well shot video. I am starting my first AR build (Spike 16" M4 upper with Zombie lower) and will be doing a few mods that include replacing the stock forgrip with a rail system. This obviously requires the removal of the A2 front sight (replaced with low-pro gas block) and the stock grip. Your explination and notation of the taper pins is EXACTLY what I was looking for. Thanks - great vid.
