I read somewhere the story takes place in a mid-European country, not specific. But I think that has to be a colder place than near Galicia, that's what the custumes make us think. I would rather call it "ballet land"...

Judging by the synopsis it is some small town on the borders of Galicia. That's all I can tell you.
