Randy had a mastery over the instrument that is almost hard to grasp.....Its like his hands just played a guitar like he was utilizing a stream of consciousness....it was other worldly....unbelievable actually......And though this was not a great song or show or band for that matter....he still made them sound amazing....Thanks for posting it here for us all to see......RIP Randy....We miss u.

Randy was and always will be the best,as far as tone goes.I,ve watched a bunch of vids on the tube.but no one even comes close to his tone.watch some covers of the song flying high again,and you,ll see what i mean.

His tone is a little raw sounding on Blizzard in some songs, but on Diary his tone is AMAZING!!!!

Every single track on that album has phenomenal tone ( as well as playing of course!).

P.S. The only good tone Eddie has is on VH1.

I know what I said. Yeah! Randy Rhoads got one of the worst sounds ever! I'm only talkin about the SOUND! Every guitar player can tell you that. I LOVE Randy... but he sounds weird. Randy, like Kirk Hammett never thought how work on the sound. I got ALL Randy albums (I miss the second Quiet Riot album) and I can tell you that Randy got a better sound in QR than in Ozzy.

His "Worst sound" is the BEST sound ever!!! He has amazing tone, people will say Eddie, but no...Randy man, Randy has THE tone!!! It's Unique, it is his signature, and I love it more than ANYTHING!!!!!!!!! I want his tone, I want his amps, I want his guitar, I want his hair(His hair was the shit!!! Gotta love it!)

I kind of agree with Kamaboko there. Randy was a metal/classical guitarist and more of a lead player. But picking up the pieces is one hell of a song.

QR would have never made it with that line up. Randy struggled writing pop tunes. Ozzy was what he needed. Too damn bad he's gone though.
