Everytime he had the puck you had to watch him because you never knew when he was going to do something you never seen before. What made him so fantastic is that he usually did, either offensively or on the defense. People who comment but never seen him play forget just how great he was a defensive defenseman.He really was something to see but tragic as his knee started to betray him.

I was at that game. Oilers ran McReary a couple of times, then Wendel Clark destroyed somebody (McTavish? Krushelnyski? with a body check and they sent McSorley after him, so Clark beat up McSorley, but Clark got 2 minutes for the first hit, so he's in the box for 7 minutes. End of Period. Start of the next period, Gilmour hit Clark with a pass as he's stepping out of the box (all by himself because of the extra minor). Clark goes in on a breakaway and scores. Leafs win!
