  • I don't think it was the deep fried lobster that set Morimoto off course. I personally believe it was the white truffles. White truffles are SUPER strong and all of those white truffle slices that he put into his dish. Oh man, the judges may try to be nice and say that it is good but I know the dish probably tasted mostly like white truffles.

  • come on japan crowd was just as loud i know all of the ppl are making reference to americans it wasnt like japanese crowd were sitting like they were in catholic mass in the draftiest cathedral ever. they were proud of morimoto just as americans who were proud of flay and to burst japans bubble morimoto is from new york so two americans battling.

  • i wonder how distracting it is to cook when the crowd's cheering that loud?

  • The audience is too loud. They could cheer, but the continuous rolling cheer is very disruptive.

  • That sumo was cool...

  • the american crowd, is too american xD ...i feel like the feel of the show was thrown off...and that i was back in a high school rally...made me wana go hide haha

  • how do the commentators not know what a tamale is? -__-

  • USA! USA! USA!

  • seriously annoying crowd.. i cant hear the comentator

  • most annoying crowded ever

  • @killerzombie163 crowd^

  • 3:50

fastest I've ever seen sushi prepared

  • @Illok

theres some other japanese cooking competitions, a really skilled sushi chefs can prepare a nigiri within 3-4 seconds

  • @chidoriookami whoa someone flagged my comment? ;o ...must have been a bobby flay extreme fan lol

  • Morimoto and Flay are now on Food Network's "Iron Chef America".

  • burn that kid.

  • wow yeah i agree. There's something off about that kid.

  • How dare Bobby Flay insult Sakai.. Damn I really hate this guy

  • when i see morimoto fry the sushi, i can tell he is gonna lose. bobby flay plays safe and he should win

  • @kelvinella It's true, that. But part of Morimoto's charm is that he's not afraid to keep trying and stretching the limits of Japanese Cuisine. That meant that he's come up with truly awesome dishes in his time, but also some bad ones.

  • Either way, Flay and Morimoto make a living cooking. Both chefs are good at what they like to do, and both are benefitting from exposure on TV and books. I like seeing Morimoto's flexability in changing styles and fusing all kinds of cuisine together. I really like Bobby's southwestern kick to his dishes. However, Flay's cockiness is the main detractor to really appreciating him as a chef.

Overall, I like both chefs, and hope they continue experimenting with new themes and ingredients.

  • agreed! id also like to add that with skills have to come respect! u must show the way for younger ones to up, bobby flay does not show respect!!

  • I would kill to eat at both Mesa Grill and Nobu, but I don't live in NYC and I'm a tad short on cash. :P

  • -pedicabdr1ver, they brought Tommy back during the rematch to remind people who to "cheer for" and who the "good guy" is (Morimoto) and who to "jeer for" and who the "bad guy" or "villain" is (Flay).

-It's the same reason they brought Tommy during the first battle between Morimoto and Flay and did a tv piece on Tommy wanting and cheering for Morimoto to win and how Morimoto was "winning the match for Tommy". IE. Like Babe Ruth hitting a home run for a sick kid after sick kid's request.

  • oh god why did they bring tommy back. i remember watching the new york battle and hating that kid so much i almost wanted morimoto to lose.

  • I love how most Iron Chef fans hate Flay so much that make up excuses (even there's no proof) as to why he wins over Morimoto and Sakai. IE. "They let him win" or "It was rigged".

Lol. A win is a win. Guess Flay is such an "inferior chef" that he was able to beat "superior chefs" like Morimoto and "King of Iron Chefs" Sakai.

All Flay does is win on Iron Chef and Iron Chef America. As Raiders owner Al Davis says ""Just win, baby!".

  • Have you been going around posting this on every part of the battle? Sheesh, i thought i was bad.

  • When kids are growing up they need someone to look up to I think it is cool that Tommy has a big name romodle in Morimoto.

  • That beef when he was cutting it up looked AMAZING. I love my beef, and unfortunatly never able to have kobe beef. Looks so good.

  • i for one love morimoto and kinda like flay remember i'm an AB FAN FOR LIFE but that's just me.

  • Is it me or did anyone else LOVE it when Sakai made that cross about Morimoto not losing? That was so funny! ROFL :D

  • Aww, yeah! Sakai is the most adorable person in this show XD

  • BTW I'm not a hater. I'm just commenting it honestly and "fairly".

  • Which is really annoying to look at.

  • Or confidence over-displayed.

  • And sadly, he is a typical american in his rudeness and his over-confidence.

  • Typical American nothing... you mean STEREOtypical.

  • Just because Flay is asked to act as ridicurous as he does in front of TV cameras, I don't think he would do so unless he really agrees. If you protect Flay like that, he is a puppet or what? I don't believe he would risk his career this way because someone asked him to. Either way, Flay is weird.

  • I love reading these comments. Actually, why read them, if the logon name is Japanese they bash Flay, if it's American they bash Morimoto!

  • Christ I can't stand all these dumbass comments. Bobby Flay was ASKED to reinforce an ugly American stereotype. Stop thinking that's how he always acts you freakin tools.

  • So not only Flay is a tool, he doesn't have a mind of his own? If the producer ask him to act like a retard, he'll do it as well? So much for the so-called number one chef in New York.

  • ... Are you seriously this stupid? The entire premise of Iron Chef is theatrics. OF COURSE he's going to act the part.

  • No, question is, ARE YOU SERIOUSLY THAT STUPID? I totally understand your comment about maybe, just maybe he's acting on the show, but,

if I was the best chef in New York, I will not, I repeat, I WILL NOT put my reputation on the line acting like a idiot on national TV. No one would.

  • the way he acts has no play in the way his food would taste would it?

  • Did I say Flay is a bad cook? No, I think he's a fantastic cook, but does it makes him a less of an idiot? No, he's a moron.

  • How can someone not be arrogant in a situation like this? They WORSHIP those iron chefs.

  • while that's true on the part of the iron chef producers, it's also true that bobby flay acts like a douche outside of anything to do with iron chef.

  • SOme people just don't know how to blame themself but others. Fcking bitch full of shit.

  • I swear, they should have played this on ESPN instead of Food Network... rofl

  • FLAY was supposed to LOSE again.

  • he's very good with knives.

    LOLtar is scared.

  • Flay can cdook, but he acts like a fucking bitch. That guy annoys me.

  • Challenger Kandagawa used the same kitchen as Bobby Flay and everything was completely fine. Complaints from Flay is such a dissappoint to the U.S.

  • yes...i like sakai too...but i still think CHAN IS THE BEST!!!

oh..and by the way...BOBBY FLAY SUCKS!!!

  • Sakai is at 3:34 just to let everybody know. LOL This has to be some of the most exciting Iron Chef I've seen!

  • ironchefery

  • The female judge is so retarded

  • she's hot though :P

  • I love sakai!

  • sakai is hilarious
