I trained with Purple Dragon for a month in Trinidad 10 years ago when I was in my teens. I can tell you now that this training is very intense and extremely disciplined. It was an experience of a lifetime and I truly am honored to have been part of this martial arts. Till this day I have not forgotten my time their and hopefully one day I'll be able to fulfill my promise to Professor Don Jacob to get my black belt. May Purple Dragon have continued success in the future!
@skanemermaid no it actually isn't black belt is first kyu meaning there is nothing really about it you have to go 7 years to get a second degree and 11 to be a third degree anything to say now

Please don't blame Shihan Madrid or Purple Dragon for your personal problems. He is a fantastic teacher. Perhaps you should also explain why your son's rank was revoked.
Its amazing how people forget how much was done for their kid d first time things dont go their way.I for one hav seen how much work Shihan put in with Tyler(yes i kno who your son is)till he got a standin ovation for his grading,how Shihan made it his duty to help dat boy at 200 plus pounds at 17 so how dare u disrespect the people who did so much for ur son and u bcuz you were done a favour not so? So i think dat lecture was for u n since u had nothing positive to say u should SHUT YOUR MOUTH!

The message really is helpful for now and the future. Professor is old school and when he speaks he takes me back to my childhood days. The stories I remember from my grand parents and parents, therfore it means something so when Professor says it, it is true it is not made up. We as parents have to work together and keep this energy and aura at all times. The students did a wonderful job.Lots and lots of thanks to Shihan and the instructors.
It gives me great pleasure,joy thanks and gratitude to write this. Our grading was held on Oct 30th and 31st. Like all other grading the event is always inspiring ,educational and life embracing. Whenever, Professor is here he exudes an uplifting energy. I personally feel the difference of his presence. I truely, hope that it is felt by others. His words are uplifting, encouraging, and most importantly it relates to everyday truth in life.
This video of the Purple Dragon Black Belt Grading # 119 was extremely interesting. It is amazing to see the great work that Purple Dragon has been doing to over the years to strengthen minds and bodies and keeping families together and focused. I think that more people should become involved in the Purple Dragon Schools around the world..
