  • So the waiting IS the hardest part. God help any squirrel, possum, mole, mouse, or random squeak toy that finds its way into our backyard.

  • i have 2 dachshunds that have no tie into that type of life, but we took them to the beach for the first time, and they DUG LIKE CRAZY. it was amazing. this video was great. thank you!

  • i also have 3 dachshunds your video inspired me to make my own youtube video doing the samething but with squirrels. great video!!!

  • Mine are the same way with moles. I have a 3/4 acre back yard and they love to get out there and "hunt". It's so cool seeing these dogs do what they were bred for (well kind of). They have an absolute blast doing it and I have the added benefit of them getting rid of those yard destroying rodents. They are so comical, they're a fantastic breed!

  • I love their determination and no fear. Mine is just like that...he attacked a possum tho. @_@

  • Awesome!

  • Omg, I CAN'T watch this, this makes me sick in the stomach. I will never come to this video AGAIN.

  • @FrostedDiamond1 : This is nature at work, all animals on the planet serve a purpose, horses, some are bred to work the sields some are bred to rrace, cows give us milk, dog,s some herd , some guard, some hunt vermin the name of the dachshund in english means ' badger dog' so it was bred to hunt.

  • I also have a male same color as your dogs. He has a wicked nose and now has 2 squirrels and 2 gophers under his belt. Amazing how well they hunt, especially when the gopher was almost size of him.

  • Now THAT'S what you call having patience.

  • wow that shake of death at the end now makes sense as to why dogs shake their toys!!

  • @dhanix19 I know right...this video cleared that up for me too lol!

  • that was awsome

  • Now that is dogged determination there!!!!

  • 1:54

  • Now THAT is those poster for persistence and patience. Great catch!

  • Great to see these dogs doing what they were bred to do. Excellent music choice!

  • I never imagined seeing a majestic dachshund depicted with this music

  • I thought this was kinda cool and then felt a little sad when I saw the dachshund caught their prey. But still kinda cool. lol

  • @BraveVesperia16 shut the fuck up faggot cock fuck. Eat shit and live. I can fucking do whatever I want including telling you to shut up! Idiot! Oh, and you're ugly. Ha, ha, ha, ha!! Fuck head!

  • @jaxorbetter

Whatever. I can see that I am wasting my breath talking to an uneducated ass like yourself. Oh, and by the way genius, I am a female. So there is no possible way I could ever be a faggot. Good day Sir...

  • @BraveVesperia16 : Develop gay-pride.

  • @CelestialEmbodiment

Huh? I'm sorry but I'm not gay by any means. I have no idea what you are talking about.

  • @BraveVesperia16 Who the fuck cares that your a shemale! Your still a faggot! Don't hate on me because I actually got my degree from USC. ASSHOLE! You can still go for your GED at 28. A city college might take you. There's always retail you stupid ass shemale. Did I tell you that you're ugly? Ha, ha. FUCKER. Good day faggot...

  • @jaxorbetter I am Not a shemale you idiot! I am a normal biological female and I am seventeen years old! You keep misunderstanding my comments! I am not fond of gay people! Geez!

  • @jaxorbetter : Where's your gay-pride now?

  • @CelestialEmbodiment That's how it's done, (dogs), also, Celest, she is not gay, she is my fucking sister. xD Or was...until I took an arrow to the knee... ._.

  • @GoodGuysFinishDead : What kind of sister?

  • @CelestialEmbodiment And she is my actual honest to God sister, but you're atheist to you wouldn't know about that, but... ლ(ಠ益ಠლ

  • @GoodGuysFinishDead : Why do you use the F-word in this public venue?

  • @CelestialEmbodiment

Why are you attacking him? We already had our little squabble and now it's over and done with. There is no reason to throw your two cents in. He probably doesn't know what the hell you are talking about either. Get your facts straight before you say things like that. No one is gay here. No one has gay pride to develop. In fact, I am totally against it.

  • @BraveVesperia16 : Get your act together.

  • @CelestialEmbodiment

Same to you Sir. This is all a complete and utter misunderstanding...

  • @BraveVesperia16 : It's time to grow up.

  • @CelestialEmbodiment

Well it was quite immature of you to accuse me of such things. But oh well, I know who I am and you don't know me and I don't know you. So let's just act like reasonable adults and let this go. There is no sense in getting worked up over this.

  • @BraveVesperia16 GOOD FOR YOU. Go fly your Confederate flag on your trailer home somewhere else you piece of slut whore trash. Tell your mom I'm sick of her not cleaning the windows at my house when she comes over to do my laundry. Stupid bitch is going to find herself working at a dive bar again if she doesn't fucking do windows!

  • @jaxorbetter

First of all, I am Italian and British, and secondly I do not live in a trailer. I live in a very nice house. So go fuck yourself pal! I can see that you are just a disgusting human being!

  • @BraveVesperia16

Oh yeah, and I am not a whore either. I am not that kind of girl. How dare you accuse me of such things! Lastly, don't you ever insult my mother again you driveling snake! You don't even know her!

  • @CelestialEmbodiment don't need it. I'm proud already. Been with my wife for 13 years and she's just as proud too.

  • Stupid breed, glad it develops back problems. Ugly fucking dogs. Big whoop. My fart could have caught that. DISLIKE!

  • @jaxorbetter

You need to shut the fuck up pal! I have five Dachshunds and I love them dearly! They are one of the smartest and sweetest dog breeds out there! They are also one of the most popular! You need to get a fucking life and stop trolling random dog videos you prick!

  • @BraveVesperia16 : Live as a woman!

  • @CelestialEmbodiment

Um, I have always been a woman. I am biologically a woman. What does this have to do with Dachshunds?! Do you even have any idea what you are talking about!?

  • @BraveVesperia16 : No you're not.

  • @CelestialEmbodiment He be trollin'. ლ(ಠ益ಠლ Chinese food awaits!

  • I love how he looks back at the end "Did you catch that?"

  • Rotfl!!! Thats Awesome! Little booger! My westie caught a huge rat and was almost 2 ft long nose to tail and did the same thing....shook it to death!

  • 1:35 the moment of recognizing this is going to be great! My dog looks like this when he is on to something. I love that he waits for the rodent to make the wrong move. SUch will power!

  • WOW HE RIPED IT APART A+

  • Dramatic music, dramatic doggies.

  • WOO HOO! Clapping! My Dachshund does this exact thing when he sees squirrels. He killed one last year, It bit his ear but he did the same thing your Dachshund did. What was that rodent? A gopher?

  • Thats my dogs identical twin ! Holy crap i went to go check if you guys stole my dog lmao !

  • WANNA PET MY WEINER

  • Epic music! Epic dogs!

  • Weiner power!

  • Thatss a hunting dogg and alwayss completes the mission!

  • Damn that's one mean Dachshund. Lol.

  • we had a problem with mice in the house.. i would bring the cat in and he would kill 1 every now and again.. so one day i bring my dachshund in just to feed her and boy she goes to work.. she killed five of tme in a couple of hours.. KILLING SPREE..

  • they are awsome little dogs fierce ,strong, and stubbren

  • naaaaaaw this reminds me of my two daushunds when they were younger!!! there sisters and they do EVERYTHING together including hunting so when one catches a rat the one that ctches it will throw it and the other will kill it. now there 13 but they took down a rat and about 12 mice this year (plus a hell of a load of lizards and birds when they were younger not any more though)

  • at the end of the vid the dog looks back at the camera and is like thats how it is done!!!

  • Good Instinct your dogs have.

  • Wow! My mini wienie has so far caught and killed a squirrel and a bird. In my backyard in town. I guess this is really natural for them. Freaks the kids out when they do it though!

  • my weiner woudnt kill a fly:) he is such a lover:)

  • OMG THAT SHAKE WAS BRUTAL........I LUVS EEET

  • Loved this video! I've had my Henry for almost 4yrs and he's an amazing dog and comapnion. It's good to remember that they were originally bred to hunt and kill small game and still can!

  • wow! did you train them to hunt or is it natural? My dachsie puppy goes after other critters, but has nooooo patience

  • Good dog...go get'em!

  • This is FUCKING INSPIRING!!!

  • that critter has no bones left in his body after that dachshund shook the sh** out of it.

  • good dog.

  • Dachshunds are the smallest hound breed and yes, they are quite tempermentally capable of killing small game; it's precisely this attitude that makes them such a delightful companion animal.

It's amazing how they can be so patient and also have the sense to be downwind.

  • mad patience. my dachschund needs to get off his lazy ass and slay some critters

  • super dog....

  • Get em boy , get em ! Dachshunds are the best !

  • Good dog.

  • My dachshunds are better mousers and ratters than my lazy cats.

  • awe :( wtf

  • ahhh so cute! good dog lol

  • wish my weenie could do that. all he does is grab stuff he isnt aloowed to get and then poop and scoot across the carpet when he gets in trouble...

  • Well done ..four paws up from

    Hennes Hundt and Seppel...

  • was that a gopher?

  • hahaha...nice video...what a killer

  • Nice........Half a dog high, one dog long, and to dogs worth..... End of story :-)

  • oh Yeah! my Dachshunds are rat and cat killers.I always stumble upon dead rats or cats at night outside of the house.very reliable pets as pest killers. I don't like em killing cats though.

  • MAN I LOVE THESE DOGS

  • specially the waiting part,,, my mini F long hair black and tan will sit at the base of a treed squirrel for hours if i let her... and she has to be dragged away even then..too funny... the word tenacious is defined by these patient little hunters..." he went in that hole ... sooner or later hes goto come out... and when he does... Oh boy oh boy oh boy!

  • Hell yea!!!!

  • Damn! What patience!

  • TOAST!

  • my dachshund used to present all sort of dead animals to us as gifts. squirrels, birds, mice. she had that same type of patience too. i miss her.

  • @SLF4ever She was a good dog then. When animals bring other small animals to you, they think you will use it as food and are trying to help care for you. It's one of the best signs of loyalty out there.

  • *I whip my hair back and forth, I whip my hair back and forth* 1:53

  • aww, he wanted it so bad he shivered out there all that time X__X

our dachies are that crazy too though.. always killing everything xD

  • Intense ! Ha that mouse got owned !!

  • mine would just dig and whine wish he had you doxies patience

  • 2 dogs...... 1 gopher........ 1 price to pay

  • kill...killll..KILLL!!! Good...good.... >:)

  • Holy crap that was so cool i love seeing dogs using their natural instincts it really takes thr toy out of the toy breed of dog.

  • AWESOME! I waited as patiently as the valiant soldier who attacked in action.

  • You should teach them to dig :) Dachshunds can dig up to a foot per minute.

  • Hes a dilligent hunter, waiting for the pray for an hour, now that is like a human hunting deer, and that takes dedication and loyalty, I would expect nothing less from a german breed like a dashund.

  • wooow

  • Sometimes, though, if you live in the city, your dashhund will kill kittens. >___<

  • @YouhGomooh or piles of lizards if you live in florida, lol

  • epic

  • Dachshunds are great for these kinds of extermination of varmints. If you had a ferret on a leash you could send that INTO the hole.

  • sniper dog haha

  • nice dog

  • Dachsies are excellent mousers. Our little black one was better than any cat I ever saw.

  • 1:50

  • sure it did

  • that ground mouse got owned

  • great dog, nice video! patience is virtue indeed.

  • Nice Video, our Lucy looks exacly like one of yours. Now if she only was quiet when she aproached those squirls in tha back yard, she might get one one day..

  • My Chocolate and Tan Doxie lives to kill backyard rodents! And she does the same thing with them, snaps their necks to kill them. Afterwards she's just so wild eyed excited you can't get her to settle down for at least 30 minutes! You have lovely dogs!
