It may look a lot like Jak 2(though it has HUGE diferencess people keep ignoring)but WTF does it have to do with Jak 1?It doesn't even get close to same gamplay,graphics or anything in total...

This game was advanced for its time, great drawing distance, huge map, day/night cycle, dynamic weather, cool dune buggy physics, animations, etc. Jak even leans foward when running uphill, you got his scarf blowing in the wind, the transitional animations between weapons were also excellent. One of my favorite games, i wish Naughty Dog would make a Jak 4 on the PS3. With graphics like Uncharted, who knows how something like that would look like.

you obviously haven't played the previous games not knowing why jak was banished and saying it's not much different from the previous games. Jak and Daxter and jak 2/jak 3 are completely different. And don't ever suggest to skip the first 2 games.They'd miss out on amazing experiences and missing out on the overall trilogy's story

Jak and Daxter, Jak 2, and Jak 3 is the main trilogy. best videogame trilogy in my opinion btw.

now there's Daxter for the PSP, which is a "midquel" of when Jak is in jail for 2 years in Jak 2, as Daxter trys to look for him.

then theres Jak X combat racing which is fun, i liked it. and then theres Jak and Daxter Lost Frintier which i havent played yet but i herd its good

i just find it wierd that in J&D jak is a silent noble hero and then he changes from a good guy to a rebel bad ass ( ehich is good :D ) but im just wondering where is the change? where is it in a sertain amount of time that he got his vocal cords re-animated? i mean really and his cursing ( which is good too ) its like it comes from nowhere

in jak II he gets experimented on with dark eco for 2 yrs (which made his powers permanent rather than having to pick up eco clusters) the experiments gave him the ability to talk (it doesn't make sense but who cares jak is a bad ass now)

The moves are the same, and some of the voices. And of course, it's 300 years in the future of the first one.

But the similarities pretty much end there. :/

Well yeah Jak X has been out for years on the PS2... and Jak 4 is coming out 2009 possibly 2010.

Yep, its coming out in 2009 or 2010. Its going to be a Playstation 3 exclusive though because Sony published the old Jak and Daxter series.

Yes, but Sony had an official press conference about it. After the release of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, work is planning to be done for the Lost Frontier.

Not anymore one of my friends cousin works for naughty dog and she says that they are planning to make a game on the PS3 very soon, none of the staff want to leave the series.

Well, yeah sequels are generally easier for people because most people have played the originals - and the core gameplay doesn't change much through a single generation.

what i hated about jak 2 was the level with the hover car...in the lava..it was hard..and the fish in the water
