If you have an extra hard drive installed (virtual partitions of the same one don't count), recording to that hard drive instead of the one you're recording FROM can give a nice FPS boost.
@ricoco750 lol the 9600 came out late as the 9700 was the High end the 9600 being low end.
I find it funny in a way though you know cause some thing the 9000-9200 are also part of that series but it's really a misunderstanding as they're actually only partially even Direct X 8 compliant.
@ricoco750 ah bet you didn't know that even with the 9600 you had the best thing out there since none of the FX series could compete with the 9600 let alone the 9700pro.
thumbs up if you thin ati x200 is worse than ati 9600.

I just purchased an old Dell laptop for 50 bucks!! it has the 9700 in it. (not sure if its pro or not)
What games do you think I can play on it? CoD4 work well?
CubeLuda 2 years ago
Hehe, awesome... well, obviously not next gen games... but anything Valve's Source Engine and before should be fine...
CoD4.. might be pushing it, but maybe with fine tuning the settings...
L33tCh 2 years ago
@L33tCh Actually if my computer can do things it's not sposed to (9200 running DX 9 when it's 8) then a 9700 can do alot too.

This was such a big deal when I had my 9700 pro. It's actually still very impressive, it really looks pre rendered.

It's even better when you consider that it was originally a CGI short now rendered in real time.
