Yay! I admit when I subscribed last month, I wasn't sure if you were still doing these. But you are and I'm really excited. I never got to read the whole series as a kid, so this is sorta my way of filling in the gaps of what I didn't get to read. So thanks! Keep it up!
I like the new opening, even though it's not permenant.
Japan is in the economic Groupof Eight (which consists of the U.S, Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Russia, Cnanada, & finally Japan) & has better relations with the US than China. They can't pick one Middleast nation without showing deference, although the lack of ANY representatives from the region in dispute is pretty ridiculous. That's the reasoning from where I stand.
I love how they introduce the threat of one world leader already being a controller and then never ever do anything with this ever even though that means that either the President is a controller (which they called game over in 6) or the Yeerks are in other countires which seems like something that might be important, particularly since Visser Three is always in California and there doesn't appear to be a Yeerk Pool in another country or the Animorphs blowing one up wouldn't be so devastating.
You, um, do realise that the map of the Middle East when you said "Middle Eastern countries" doesn't actually show real Middle Eastern countries, right?
Merit points about how the Animorphs seem more... stupid... in the beginning of the book, but I always took that as a sign of how they viewed the situation: Wasn't Visser Three, wasn't a host of Hork-Bajir, just a normal human. They took it casually because they had no reason to believe David or the operation could pose a problem.
And how dead wrong they would eventually be in the following books of the trilogy, making it that much more a punch in the gut.
Japan spends more on defense than any country except the united states. They may be "Demilitarized", but their Self Defense Army is one of the biggest and best-equipped in the entire world. They could easily go toe-to-toe with Great Britain or Germany and win.

Many thanks again for covering this and the other Animorphs books.
Though i'm amazed this many mistakes are being made in what are supposedly the books of the series.

Yeah, my friends and I called Marco's role in this his Cavalcade of Fail. Hearing it gone through step by step is just painful.

Heh. Noticed the "Unibank" logo on their secret hideout. That kinda thing is part of why I look forward to these.

I like the new theme! Super Book was starting to grate my nerves. This fits Animorphs well, I think.
