  • Does anyone remember this to be the theme song for the TV Show "Pro Wrestling This Week" back in 1987?

  • @Jiltedin2007 I think I know what you're talking about. If I'm not mistaken the show you're talking about was sponsored by "Pro Wrestling Illustrated Magazine" and it showcased professional wrestling all around the world including AWA ,WCCW, Mid-South, Universal Wrestling Federation, NWA (later became WCW), and the WWF (now the WWE). i believe the hosts of the program was legendary pro wrestling announcer Gordon Solie (fairly sure) and the other was Joe Pedecino.

  • @Jiltedin2007 Exactly! Pro Wrestling This Week was hosted by Gordon Solie and Joe Pedecino. Here in Los Angeles, it came on every Saturday Morning on KCOP Channel 13 at 10 A.M., and it came on before G.L.O.W(Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling). And it showcased every Wrestling Alliance in the United States, including the Big Boys, AWA, NWA and the WWF. But UWF was my favorite of them all solely because of their host Jim Ross.

Everytime I hear this Instrumental version, I think about Wrestling.

  • @Jiltedin2007 Right on....PWTW was awesome! Continental Championship Wrestling (also hosted by Gordon Solie) used this instrumental for their show too circa 1986.

  • @smojo55106 Oh, you're kidding! I never knew that.

  • @Jiltedin2007 Yep....definitely a popular song for a wrestling show back then! I agree, this does equal wrestling every time I hear it.

  • Hey do you have a download link for this instrumental... if you do can you send it to my email please. xsquadrecords@gmail.com....Thanks

  • I'm sorry, this song is crap. I never liked it. Eddie is a comedy genius and Rick James is musical genius though. cocaine is a helluva drug

  • AWESOME !

  • mp3iffy is the best site to get this mp3. google mp3iffy.

  • Man it's like jacking off to 80 porn music

  • the instrumental is very good!

  • This used to be the theme or the second theme to Continental Championship Wrestling with the late, great, "the Dean" Gordon Solie :D

  • the instrumental is cool, murphy can not sing! Make movies but do not sing!!!Tell me, why produced all american movie artist also music cds??? shareholder moneymaking effect??

  • I thought this song was great. To bad he didn't have time to produce his whole album at the time. He was doing 4 different at this time. His own "Glow" Mary Jane Girls "Only For You" Val Young "Seduction" and Process and the Doo Rags "Too Sharp" As you can see he was very busy in 1985...

  • @FireitupBedford

Me too. I have the last 57 seconds of a version of this song that played on the radio that has some of the sounds of the extended version. My aunt taped it with her tape recorder back then & I used to listen to that tape (which also has Glenn Frey's You Belong To The City, Stevie Wonder's Part Time Lover, Stevie Nicks' You Can Talk To Me & others) so much that the quality is pretty bad now. But I made an mp3 of it. I wish I could find the full version of that version.

  • @FireitupBedford

how do you know all this ???

  • @FireitupBedford He was probably working on Beverly Hills Cop II as well.

  • @bellomarcello

na he can sing. on this anyway.

  • @bellomarcello

    true true ;)

  • @bellomarcello Aww man!!! Did Paris Hilton knew how to sing? Or did John Travolta? Ok, he can not sing but then again he's not a singer but an actor. He sang because he wanted to... To my knowledge he didn't care that much if this song was a succes or not.

  • @bellomarcello booooooo

  • fuckin mad song..

i wish dj falcon or bangalter sampled it before faggot ministry of sound.

    could've been massssssssssss

  • ohh wow the instrumental.. i love you...

  • ahh Thank you...

  • OH MY GOD. Seriously, You have made my YEAR. seriously. Im 25, and when this first came out my parents had this on 45'', and I used to listen to the instrumental all the time and drum on my thighs with two pencils. This is amazing dude. Thank you

  • Not a problem glad you liked it. I've always thought this was tight. But that's Rick for ya he could make anything or anyone sound great. To bad he didn't have time to produce his whole album at the time. He was doing 4 different at this time. His own "Glow" Mary Jane Girls "Only For You" Val Young "Seduction" and Process and the Doo Rags "Too Sharp" As you can see he was very busy in 1985...

  • Yeah. The 80s, I miss them so much.
