i have a trainer for wing chun but somehow he doesnt ever really teaches us such things this is probably just a high level thing but the stuff he teaches us would be damn good in a street fight and no its not blitzdefence
It flows better. It will be little too much work block to all those punches with .. tan sau or bong sau not to mention its practice so you become fluent with the movement
@JHillWalk it's a seperation of different hand block techniques. of course you learn how to hold a brush first, and then start to paint simple things. you may also want to use a bit of your brain, only if you have so. but i doubt it.
i wanna see him use the Wing Tsun techniques in a real fight cuz then you'll know how it actually looks......personally i think in a real street fight it would be nothing like this...lol
@MistaNoName I know... It always upsets me because all these styles are all so separated, when there were meant to work together. In a real fight there may be 3 or 4 instances where you might actually do a Biu Gee. Any other time your Boxing, or grappling. That why I like JKD, because it does away with this "one" way of doing things, there may that split second where a wrestling move is more appropriate, or TKD kick...so being fully trained and flexible to do whatever is need at the time
@Crillin112 yo bro. the title there is Beginning Wing Tsun Technique. So he breaks up the hand block for you to practice it easily. and when u get better, of course you move on to better combination and speed.
@sl1mm Oh yea i figured that much...I was just adding on to what the previous guy was saying about using it in a real fight. When the heat is turned up, I see its uses, and I also see where other things would be just as, if not more appropriate. Thats really all I was trying to say.
Don't get me wrong, I love Wing Chun, and I also think that you have to do what works for you too, and to do that you really have to open up and study everything.
you need a sparring partner, to know how angles and distance works in a real fight... you must have a moving partner who uses force to train for realistic situations, possibly who tries everything not only punching, kicking, elbows, knees but also headbutts, takedowns etc.
Make sure those punches are on the the target and a few inches past. Good drill. Be good to see with both hands. Blocking and striking at the same time.

This is precisely why boxers, judoka, and MMA athletes have no respect for Wing Chun.
