  • thx so much your tutor is the only one helped me

  • so im trying to save it in recycle but it always saves the whole track after the starting point.. how i would i be able to just take each individual cut and putting on korg drum designer?? good video btw.. thumbs up!

  • that was funny" play with it" . mo homo. funny!

  • about how to save slices into separate .wav files: try FlexibeatzII: it is free and has a slicer feature. it puts markers around the individual hits in a beat (you can manipulate the marker points) and if you accept the mark ups, it automatically exports the slices to individual .wav files. You can then open up the separate hit files into the application's channels, add effects and EQ, sequence new patterns with the processed hits, and chain the patterns into songs. check out the tutorial vids

  • play widd it - no homo - .... LOL!

  • yo bruv where can i download recycle 2.1 ive been after it for a long time cnt seem 2 find it the legit copy cud u hook me up ive got dope samples i wana chop get bk 2 me asap safe!

  • What format Did You Use To Open It In The Dr.Rex Player...

  • play with it no home lol

  • Daamn what's the name of your first song please ?

  • Where Can I Find Samples????

  • @561718 Its called diggin in the crates. Record stores, anything.

  • could you please explain how to save a slice from recycle, like a drum kick? for having drum samples, but in separate wav files...

  • whats the name of that sample song Bro!

  • GOOD JOB! I have been wondering for this for awhile now!

  • how did you cut the sample so you have several short loop files? instead the whole song as a file

  • BRO I'VE BEEN MESSING WITH SAMPLES FOR YEARS OFF AND ON, YOUR TUTORIAL FINALLY MADE SO MUCH SENSE COMPARED TO THE OTHER SAMPLING TUTORIALS. PLUS I USE RECYCLE AND REASON. I'M ESPECIALLY THANKFUL FOR THE QUICK DR REX TUTORIAL ALSO. TIL TODAY I ALWAYS PUT MY SAMPLES OR REXXES INSIDE OF THE NNXT. I NEVVER SAW THE PURPOSE FOR THE DR REX IN HIP HOP. THANKS SO MUCH HOMIE. BE BLESSED.

  • How do I delete parts from the beat?

  • what is the reason of the bars ?

  • wen ur done chopping can u export each chop like if i wanted to put it on ma mpc

  • Ok, call me lazy. But isn't there a way to just tell the computer to auto-chop it into 4ths, 16ths or whatever. Like you can on an MPC, I hate that pencil tool!

  • @Gr0wTesK How do find the right amount of bars for the original sample...Reason is that I sometimes get a sample of a cd that is like 2 mins long...

  • "you just have to play with it... no homo"

    hehehe

anyway, i like the fact that you gave info on how to get the midi controller to "act like an mpc". that came in handy. i COMPLETELY forget about being able to with the polyphony tab. good tutorial!

  • ok, my recycle just started acting stupid and i can't play any thing nor can i click on the sample pieces for them to play. the play, rewind, FF, etc. tabs are faded. you would think when you actually pay for stuff (lol) you wouldn't run into this type of crap. any thoughts on what this is?

  • ok, i figured it out (google/yahoo/bing won't show this so don't even bother looking it up). it's a matter of having your audio set up. if your play, rewind, FF, etc. buttons are not highlighted, your audio isn't set up. just go to preferences, and under page go to audio. under audio, set your audio card driver to whatever you want to use as an output (i usually use my mbox, but i was out and wanted to make a track away from home w/out the mbox. i switched to built-in audio and now i'm straight)

  • aye u think u can send me recycle i need it 4 my reason

  • Hi, Recycle wont let me push play on the slices?? I reinstalled Windows and recycle and now it works but i can play.. The stop and play buttons are faded out slightly even after pushing preview toggle button.... Help please? thanks

  • How did you find the tempo of the sample?

  • @Kingjames313 To rephrase, how did you find the original tempo of the sample?

  • I dont need to know the original tempo, once you enter the amount of bars the loop is, recycle calulates the tempo based on that and the total time of the loop

  • @Gr0wTesK I get that, but what if you're using different parts of the loop and not others? Like I'm using almost every part of the song, just not the verses, so like the intro, bridge, chorus etc. ya dig? instead of getting a tempo for example 4 BPM which is rediculous. Are you looping certain parts and chopping seperately? That would mean loading more than one Dr.REX module.

  • @DStackz

well Dr. Rex is just a lot faster usually. A lot of times It does what I need without having to go through many steps

  • 1) I sort of just go with what works. it depends on the original speed of the sample and the tempo of the track in reason. just play around with it in dr Rex and/or change your track tempo until it sounds how you want it to.

For #2, there's a few different ways to do that. The easiest way I can think of is to use NN-XT and map them both to the same key, check out my NNXT video at about 1:30, I show how to map more than one sample to the same key

  • good video but sometimes this recyleing sample be throwing of the reason beat

  • question sometimes when i sample the whole sample stops it does not go with the flow how do i fix it?

  • rephrase your question

  • you make it seem so easy.yup.

  • nice one, thanks man! :)

  • Thanks mate nice tutorial

  • lolz at the no homo bit..

either way. nice vid. helped me a lot. now i can use my lunch breaks at work way more effectively chopping samples quickly and such. channel subbed.

  • Thanks breh. pretty helpful

  • is there no function to slice every bar oder 1/2 bar ?

there is a function "add slices at grid" but then it chops every 16th of a bar and that is waaaaaaaaaaaay to much.

  • well there's a way to turn on the grid, which shows where the bars start, which makes it easier. ctrl+g will show the grid

  • go to google.type in recycle 2 and torrents will come up.but download it from pirate bay only cuz all the rest of that shit is bullshit.oh yeah thanks fa da tutorial bruh!

  • where can you get recycle?? i've been searching for it for ages via torrents, p2p, internet, forums etc. , but no results.. can someone help me get it? or does someone knows an other program that is similar to recycle with the chopping parts etc.

  • U can use recycle or sound forge.. and I found a site to get it from

  • can anyone plaese tell me how i get recycle

  • torrents

  • Good lookin' out fam. Thanks for teaching us how to use Dr. Rex like a MPC. I never knew we could do that! It really took my sampling to a whole new level!!!

  • lol, then you just gotta play with it, no homo

  • thanx for the info at 2:35 about gettn my midi controller to act like a mpc that really took my sampling game to a whole nother level. much respect

  • no doubt.

  • yo thanks for the vid.. i am new to reason how do u lay down the sample on reason

  • check my other beat videos, I show how to do it

  • how do u cut pieces u dont want?

  • How did u speed up the sample on the drrex without changing the tempo of the song?

  • you just click a higher key on the little virtual keyboard in dr rex
