  • he des seem very sincere about it

  • HE IS JUST FAKEIN TO GET OUTA JAIL... HE DOESNT REGRET IT. ITS GREAT THAT HE IS TELLIN THEM TO STOP FIGHTING PITTIES BUT I THINK HE IS JUST TRING TO GET HIS BUTT OUTTA JAIL

  • Even tho Mike Vick help kill dogs before. Now he is saving dogs so these dogs are grateful. He is changing there mind on fighting there dog so he is saving current living dogs that probably would be fighting if it wasnt for his speech. He is speaking in different cities so at the end of the day he may save more dogs than he hurt. But u haters will never kno cause ur background never even been witnessed to this type of living.

  • The HSUS is using him to spread the word (which is good) and he's using them to try and appear redeemed. He deserved a bit more for what he did, and really, with such a massive salary like that and as quickly as he was accepted back to the NFL (disgusting) he should be giving a nice chunk of it to the HSUS if he's really all that sorry. The only reason this guy has any regret is because he was caught. The man has no empathy for the dogs and cares only for himself, his career and his money. Scum

  • I know this sounds wrong in a way but does it matter if he really cares? All that matters is he's helping stop dog fighting.

  • Wow, this would be a really good thing...IF Vick actually sounded like he gave a crap. I see what the HS is trying to do, but let's face it...Vick is only doing this for publicity. He's is truly a sick man.

  • this is a travesty. He has no remorse at all for what he has done to his dogs. He should have been kept in jail. He is saying what everyone wants to hear.

  • i'm not convinced he just doin this cuz its court ordered , he doesn't even sound involved like he just goin thru the motions,

  • I'm glad that Vick's trying to make a difference, but I feel like he still doesn't really mean it. I won't really believe it until he does something BIG to help the matter.

  • This is a wonderful thing. It's nice to see Michael Vick doing this. I still think he should have had to do this for a year or so before he was allowed back in the NFL. The NFL cares about one thing: Money. It's gross.

  • Glad to see HSUS is working with Vick. As a fan of Mr. Vick, I was deeply disappointed by his actions which led to his conviction in 2007.

I personally have learned a great deal from his sudden downfall such as managing my fianances as well as being around people who are positive rather than negative influences in your life.

Its telling that while PETA wants to make him a pariah, HSUS is working with him, which says a great deal about Mr. Pacelle and power of forgiveness.

  • It looks great; I just hope Vick keeps his promise and keeps talking to youths about dogfighting.

It looks like Wayne did the smart thing yet again; way to go, HSUS!

  • he is not sorry just sorry he got caught

  • I can't help but see this in some way as being a PR stunt, but I do hope his efforts are actually genuine.

I have had nothing but bad things to say about Micheal Vick for quite a long time now, so it would be nice to see his situation become a very positive experience for others.

  • Love that agility is being brought to these kids as an alternative to dogfighting. (Do the boys realize that well-behaved dogs are also great for meeting girls? That's a selling point!) Disappointed to hear Vick still doesn't seem to get it -- he says his goal is to help others avoid jail -- I have yet to get the sense that he understands that what he did was disgusting. He seems sorry he got caught breaking the law, not sorry because what he did was abhorrent.

  • ...stay positive!

  • my bro is back!

  • PEOPLE WHO DOGFIGHT CAN GO SUK A BIG BONE..LMAO. BUT THATS GOOD TO SEE VICK HELPIN OUT WITH THE COMMUNITY... GO EAGLEz

  • check out my vid

  • YEAH lets all go beat dogs to death!! by the hundereds!! yeah!!!! and have the NFL pay us millions of dollars for being one of the worst quarter backs ever!! yeahhh!!

  • ugh. michael vick. i hate this guy.

he should seriously work at an animal shelter for a year. gosh.

  • i really hope Michael means what he is saying

  • messed up!

  • MURDERER. He is more concerned about ending up in jail than abusing and killing animals. He would still be doing it if he weren't caught. He needs to be locked up forever.

  • i dont intend for this post to make it to the board, just wanted to say hello to the person who is screening these, and thank you for working at the humane society :) aside from my wife having a crush on wayne pacelle, your organization is the best. keep up the good work. (and join me in praying that someone make vick a quad out on the field)

  • I just wish his pleas were a tad bit more believable.

  • Vick's blank stare and general smugness is still at the forefront. Though I guess if he were intelligent and sentient, he'd never have tortured dogs in the first place. Nonetheless, kudos to HSUS for at least turning a negative into a positive.

  • Look at those dead eyes - they're the eyes of a killer. Only a fool thinks that this potential serial killer is serious about helping animals

  • I think Vick is very sorry for what he did, we all do dumb things in our lives, some worse than others.

  • I am not believing a word this guy is saying! let's face it, if he didn't get caught and thrown to jail, he would STILL fight pitbulls and kill them! all he wants is a bigger paycheck !

  • Got that kid to take him to a dog fight then he hit the bar for 12 cocktails.

  • I know HSUS wants to use Vick to help stop dog fighting...they're much more forgiving than I am. I've seen the abuse that these dogs have endured. It's unfathomable, unforgivable, and downright the worst example of our own species. Reading his indictment just goes to show the depraved indifference he had for the lives of the dogs in his care. His plea deal is a joke once you've read the indictment.

  • pit bulls can be great dogs... loving, caring, wanting to play all the time..

  • This is horrible. It's so obvious that he has no regret for what he did. He only has fear of the punishment. It's a disgrace how easily he is accepted as a new role model. Horrible. What kind of example is setting? Fight dogs, you'll get caught, but its o.k. cause you can do public speaking and you're cool. Horrible.

  • He's still so insincere, its not even funny how fake he is :(

  • :40

  • WOW!!! Way to turn things around!

  • I dont think he is truly sorry I think he is sorry that he got caught and doing what he needs to get on with his life just pathetic

  • Keep up the great work HSUS and Michael Vick!!

  • so now he thinks everbody's gonna forgive him for what he did

  • This is so incredibly phony.

  • I'm happy Vick is helping now but I'm still not trusting him until he makes a big difference.

  • Besides telling young people "dont end up like me", what more can he do?

  • great initiative

  • Every time Vick says "animals", I hear "cute animals only".

The other animals can be caged, tortured and murdered all the way to his dinner plate.

  • This is fantastic, but please encourage them to fix their dogs, as well. :(
