If any private business saw their employees doing the same, they would probably take action. Why should we let public workers off? Does the city, the tax paying public, not have the same right to complain that their money is spent on policemen spending their time on this?
Yeah, most men in a similar situation would probably try to get away with something, there is ridiculous temptation, but that doesn't make the actions appropriate. The story is appropriate and worth some consideration
