  • the who yes its the band .

  • am I the only one who thinks it's kind of funny that the biggest drug orgy of the 20th century tokk place in 69'?

  • Pete Townshend, who wrote all but a few songs for The Who is a veritable genius. The band is incredible.

  • @wingseclipsed Nice to see a female Who fan. Seems like there's never been a plethora. Not sure why.

  • 41 years and counting, im pretty sure rap couldnt pull anything like this

  • @everybodysuxbutme16 are you kidding its like every 3 months theres a new one and they forgot the last one. Rappers i mean.

  • Climatic indeed my friends.

  • There no such thing as perfection except for The Who. Rock and Roll will never top this. Long live The Who!

  • I was at Woodstock with my dad when I was negative 9-years old. What a great time!

  • @juice1502

    hi

I am at high school (in switzerland) and at the end of high school, where I am now, we have to make a work about any topic we want... and I chose Woodstock '69 as my topic :)

then I saw you commenting this video... and I really need to know if you really attended the festival. Because I'm desperately looking for people who experienced the most peaceful crowd assembled ever. It would be absolutely amazing if I could contact you somehow.

    Please write back

  • Doesn't get any better than this!

  • one person doesn't get the music

  • This is the biggest reason to wake up at 5 in the morning.

  • The Who: simply awesome! If you like this song, search "MARCO MENGONI SEE ME, FEEL ME" . He's a young italian singer and his voice is amazing. He won "the best european act" at EMA 2010 and he sings many covers like Helter Skelter (Beatles), Satisfaction (ROlling Stones), Try (Janis Joplin), Respect (Aretha Franklin). Hope you like it... :D

  • epic

  • @hesmon truly epic

  • The one person who dislikes this is Cousin Kevin

  • If you search EPIC on google it takes you here

  • anyone from woodstock here?

  • see me, feel me... love me! same words again...

  • This is the best performance at Woodstock.

  • Lol the mess the hippies left after Woodstock was an indication of the troubles to come in the future imo.

Peace, love and MONEY(80's) FTW and now we are in here: Worst economic crisis in decades; record unemployment; foreclosures and debt up to ears... Yes Mr Richard "peace" Nixon, Kissinger and their modern counterparts really have done their job well.

Oh and did i forget-the music sucks too, at least in the mainstream.

  • @GreedyNoobLike Agree with you on that, And that instrumental that Jimi Hendrix was playing while we were seeing all that kinda drove that point home really well.

  • Sorry but Hippies became the yuppies of the 80's (not all of them). These baby boomers left a disaster that this generation is forced to clean up.

  • @danieljh Isn't it always so easy to point the finger. Seriously, if something, really & truly bothers you, deal w/it. And if this is your only avenue, God bless you! When you point a finger at like all of a group, that's not really fair is it? Have a great Thursday & week.

  • Awesome!

  • woodstock forever...the who the best...

  • Ladies and gentlemans..........1969!

  • @572ss1972

    GentleMEN...

  • 3:59 the angle of Pete windmilling is one of my favorite Woodstock moments ever.

  • This was My First Impression of The Who LIVE; When Peter Beat the crap out of his SG at the end of their set, It Killed Me, Classic Moment in Rock.

  • STILL gives me chills!

  • My Woodstock top5 performances:

    1. Santana-"Soul Sacrifice"

    2. The Who-"See me.."

    3. Sly Stone-"Higher"

    4. Jimi- All of it

    5. Ten Years After-"Goin' Home"

  • Very good list, but I'd switch Jimi with Suite: Judy Blue Eyes. I was never impressed with Jimi at Woodstock, or most of his live stuff; he seemed to prefer to impress than engage. Higher was the exact opposite of that: total audience participation.

  • @JaxBeach2NewportBch I agree with 4 of them Goin Home gets kind of annoying after awhile. I'd replace with Coming Into Los Angles Arlo Gutherie.

  • @JaxBeach2NewportBch 100% true Jax. Maybe not in the same order but I'd also have to have Crosby Stills and Nash's Suite Judy Blue Eyes in there as well. Awesome performance by them!!!

  • @JaxBeach2NewportBch And yet you forget:

!. Crosby, Stills, and Nash: Suite Judy Blue Eyes..

  • MOON

  • <3<3<3k3 : )

  • EPIC

  • anyone know where i can find the right tabs for this song

  • wtf this longfellow on about this is music what does it have to do with the vietnam war? and who cares if its at woodstock

  • It's empty headed nit wits like Longfellow89 who makes comments about shit he doesn't understand. Go get your crew cut and then dry up and die! Why are you looking at these videos? Go watch some with blood, guts and gore, it seems you like that kind of entertainment, you spineless cock sucker!

  • awsome band..

though led zeppelin are my fav, the who - inventors or rock&roll didnt got as much fame and recognisation as they deserved..

  • With that being said, I want to thank my cousin Richard and the other brave souls who fought and gave their lives in that war. God bless you all! YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN! :)

  • the who always blew everyone off the stage... take for example the concert for new york after 9/11..

  • I love this song!

  • While the who was at woodstock, a well known 60's radical attempted to get on the stage and take the microphone from pete, hoping to make a peacful statement. Pete, not knowing who the hell the guy was, swung his guitar like a tennis racket and hit the guy in the face, yelling "get the fuck off the stage"

A simaler event involving pete kneeing a fan in the crotch happened a week earlier in newyork city.

if anyone has these two events on vidoe, please send them to me! it would be a great help.

  • The incident at Woodstock HungryLizard was Abbie Hoffman. He wasn't trying to make a peaceful statement he was on acid. It's the same guy who was on acid with his friends and did an invasion on The Pentagon in the 60's on foot. But he interrupted on the stage after The Who played Pinball Wizard while the camera man was changing the film. So it was never caught on tape I'm afraid.

  • wrong indeed i was watching a bootleg of pinball wizard at woodstock

  • The Who didn´t really fit well to the mellow Hippie atmosphere of Woodstock, but their performance is what I remember first of all since I saw the movie in 1985 - Roger Daltrey in the red light, the high vocals, and the increasing intensity of the song.

  • I would agree with that!

  • Just watching P.T banging out the riffs on this makes my hairs stand on end...A true rock n roll band....I mean who wears a set of white dungarees to go on stage these days lol

  • Just spoke to someone who was there for all 3 days. He said the Who blew everybody off the stage.

  • In the beginning with the slow motion pictures, damn Pete jumps high xD.

  • And that nose on my sweet babboo! That beautiful, wonderful nose!

  • check out the isle of wight concert...same song.

  • Sad that the Who ceased to exist when Keith Moon died.

  • Agreed but you have to remember what a big part of the band he really was

  • hey bobbins:

"see me feel me smell me"

    I wear nice cologne....

  • hey bobbins:

"see me feel me smell me"

    i wear nice cologne....

  • the best group ever live performers

  • That's what they sounded like then. I was there.

  • who's great? THE WHO IS GREAT!

  • @LucasDeckmyn THEY'RE FANTASTIC!!!!!!! Still sound great-- when you think of all the rock wannabes, the Who are still steadfast, still standing tall.

Their music NEVER sounds dated-- how many great rock&rollers can you say that about?? Brilliant-- sheer genius

  • @alabhaois rush is another one

  • @LucasDeckmyn

    Great band? Or BEST band?

  • i Love this song

  • WAY COOL!! These are the BEST WHO VIDDYS from this the HIPPY era!! Pete Townshend claims his drink and the other Whos were laced with LSD he wasn't a very HAPPYJACK! Cheers' Henry Ponds
