Im thrilled that the population is finally starting to get a clue and stay away from potentially harmful things, I really am, but I know for a fact that the underline purpose of these bags is to avoid giving free plastic bags. (Read the next comment)

Not trying to nit-pick, but I believe the number precedes the % symbol.

But please, do tell us where "95%" came from in the first place...

I have some news for you as well, regarding other nylon objects. You'll find that most of what surrounds you is some form of plastic/nylon. The difference is, you don't go around throwing that shit away after your first and only use of it. Similarly, reusable bags get used over and over and over again.

@daggitenator the prick here is the guy bringng up where a percentage sign goes. I recycle 100 percent of the plastic bags I use, and being that most people throw away those reusable bags after they rip, they are worthless. I can't stand that people think they are superheros because they use them, when its just a big money making scam with most companies

Moneymaking scam it may be, but it borders on bigotry to say that they are worthless. They save plastic bags from being used, so they are certainly worth it. How many bags would you think they save before they break?

And you act as though most people that use them do not recycle their plastics. That wouldn't really make sense... Wouldn't it make more sense that conscientious shoppers also recycle their plastics at home?
