Maggie, The biggest thing we could do as a nation to fight climate change is to give China and India a time line in which they have to clean up their act. Say 2 years to step one 5 years to step two, Whatever those steps are... If they don't comply we will not buy... would be a great campaign slogan that we could run here in the USA as well as western Europe. Polluting the air outside Beijing China or New Dehli, India hurts our Earth just as much as if we were still building things in Detroit
Maggie, I think the entire world needs to address 'Climate Change' unfortunately we do not hold the rest of the world to the same standards as we are held here in the United States. The first two countries that come to mind are China and India. Yes, in our day we poured huge amounts of pollutents into our water ways and into the very air we breath. Now that we (as a world) know better we have made great progress in reversing that.
Our elected officials are bought by Big Oil. How do you intend to get around that?
