Showing off is what air shows are all about but flying into the ground seems all too common. If the flying was less extreme nearly all of the airshow crashes wouldn't happen,, but they never seem to learn. I wonder how many crashes happened at air shows since they first started? It must be hundreds.
I like how the body of the copter goes sliding down to third base. There was just enough flame to light up a ciggarette....the pilot should have lit one up and smiled at the camera. No carnage....too bad.
theanthonyvh, Denmark isn't a third world country. We just have dai'n good mechanics. And pretty good pilots too. The S-170 in this video returned the service after receiving a new and updated hull. An update several Lynx later on received.

Well...looked like a true airshow display classic. Pilot pulls up too steeply, doesn't estimate his height properly, turns in mid-air and finds out the hard way at the bottom of the dive that he needed about ten more feet of altitude to have properly completed the maneuver. Lucky they lived.
@305havana You casually might improve your poor english, native american. Unfortunately US-authorities let peacockish foreign dumbheads stay at their great country to broadcast brainless xenophobic nonsense on their behalf. So sad...
WAY too much cyclic doing a stall turn at too low an altitude. You can hear halfway through the turn he knew he was in trouble, listen to the engines go full power as he punches the throttle.
well the helicopter sill in services... it had just return from "Antipirate" services onboard the Royal Danish Navy Patroleship Absalon a few month ago.
If I am not mistaken the air craft is laying with the starboard side(commander side) down So it is most likely the first pilot leaving the air craft first.

Not so..... OC 654 Sqn Maj Gobles, and the QHI from 666 Sqn did the same thing in 1993 in Detmold , germany. They carried out a wing over and recovery downwind and hit the deck just like this video. Granted not at an air show, but on routine trainning in the local flying area. I was flying localy at the time and was one of the first helicopters to respond to the distress call.
