The reason they do not use a coil line, it is much harder to switch hands with one and it would weigh down your pack, the tank also acts as a stock so it is much easier to aim, also the gun is weighted equally, if you have a coil line, the front is heavier due to a hopper but no tank.
The only reason you usually see them in woodsball is they have stocks on their guns so they don't need the extra weight, and the guns they use are already balanced so it makes it harder to aim with a stock and tank. I have an airthrough system for my A-5 with a dogleg stock but i would never use it on my shocker

You could find a used Impy for about as much or less than an ion, and they're way more reliable. My 2002 Impy can outshoot any Ion or any marker on par in price with the Impulse. The again, as they say, it's the player, not the gun.

if you want a marker to go pro wiv you need more than 150.i use a smartparts ion wich is a 150 for just the marker then you need a bottle then a good hopper so ur already up to 300+ then ur mask battle pack and all the rest of the stuff you need.
my ion has cost me 500 to 600 butit beats all spyders angels dyes and other marker just band a virtue in it and bam ion wich does 33bps wich hurts like hell but ion is the cheapest marker thats at pro entry level
dude an ion was my first gun and i dropped 600+ dollars into that gun...and you know yea it cycled at well over 40 bps but i sold it and got an angel G7 Fly and it shot SO much better....that gun shoots like a dream...it is so much smoother and more accurate than my ion....now i have a dark shocker and its right up there with the angel so idk where u get off sayin ions are better then dm's and angels...sounds like ur just a stupid nub to me....and what pro team uses ions??
and yes if u want a great gun for a decent go ahead and save for an etek ego...there are extremely reliable and very accurate and are tournament ready

they dont use remote because it makes your pack heavy and when packs get heavy they flop around which makes it harder to run with
