Great video. I grew up in Glenwood Springs & hiking up to Hanging Lake was always one of the 1st hikes we did in the late Spring. I remember my older sister & I hiking up there in our bare feet. Every time we go back, it is our 1st hike.

Thats a beautiful trail... I love the Spouting Rock fall above it as well... just dont go up the path to the right... brings you to a cliff just above it lol, and its hard to get back down...

BEWARE! I was arrested by the Glenwood Springs police last summer for taking a picture of police brutality. While in the Eagle County jail, sherrif's deputies erased the photo, broke my camera, and threatened to plant drugs in my bag (along with threatening me with various acts of violence and holding me in a 4 ft. by 4 ft. room for 18 hours w/o use of a toilet). I was on vacation, and with no time to fight it, I had to plead guilty to "obstruction of justice".

I discovered this place by accident in the early 80s. Spent the night in the roadside park down below. Woke up in the morning and decided to see where the trail went before continuing the drive to the west coast. I was most pleasantly surprised when I found this.
I always wanted to get back there, but I'm not sure if my old creaking knees can handle that hike any more.:)
Glad to see it hasn't been ruined as it's become more well known.

Great video and a beautiful place. Climbed in twice this year, April with snow and ice and again in September. Worth the climb both times.

I drive back and forth to Vegas every year. 9 years now, I have stopped off to see the beauty of this place. I love Glenwood, nice video
