  • just ground your hands to the metal chassis before you handle components. No need for the strap.

  • wow that's useful ty sir

  • dont have PCI-express cable connector?

  • what if the power cord is not in cpu

  • Overkill

  • if my motherboards has 1 PCIe-3.0 slot and 1 PCI-e2.0 slot and i try to install dual evga gtx 580 graphics cards, would they work?

  • Never done this before, so sorry if i sound silly, but i'm gonna get an HD Radeon 4850 (dat budget) and it requires a 450W psu with the 75W 6 pin cable, blah blah. Will all PSUs come with the cable?

  • you installed a GPU to a PCI express.... wouldnt it be faster to get some sort of AGP video card, and install it on an AGP slot?

  • hey i dont have screws holding the card... i cant even find any clips :( ... its a dell inspiron 545

  • @joshrox32 exact same thing.

  • my gpu doesn't have a power plug omg help

  • @TrimThePussPuss some of them don't, they don't need as much power

  • my computers a little different inside has screws instead of blue clips. It is the same thing except i remove screws or is it different.

  • @joshrox32 It's the same, he just has a tool-less case

  • I just upgraded to AMD Cataclysm 12.1

    @rbjoseph25

  • nice motherboard. but, I'm a AMD fan. I think intel is over priced and over rated. opinion

  • Thanks man keep up the fantastic work

  • Whats the best GC for gaming? Also it has to be affordable.

  • @Sup654 Very, very relative question. If we are talking strictly FASTEST ingle GPU card on the market-AMD 7970. But at a cost of about 450GBP it is not for most people an affordable option.

Plus you also have to consider the specs of your machine first. If you need help deciding PM me.

  • your card in pci 2.0 x16 ...if i saw it correctly no ?

  • why would you buy a band for 110 dollars when all you have to do is touch the side???

  • in win ?????????????????????

  • It can run it at high on a lower resolution by that I mean lower than 1080p.

I have a 5770 stock and it can't run BF3 at high. It's possible but it is not that fun to play. Medium is the optimal setting to play, possibly even low but that's if you want the best FPS.

  • @iwantinfectionz I own a 5770 ocd and it runs bf3 on high at 40 fps+ 16:9. must be a shitty gpu you have or just unable to optimize it properly.

  • and to think geek squad charges $50

  • The irony of this is that im looking at this video with the computer im gonna mess with ._.

  • @MrSuicidalShoe really?

  • @Gce0rge Yes xD I already installed my graphics card just yesterday. Now...SKYRIM!!!

  • @MrSuicidalShoe that's not ironic at all

  • If I get a graphics card, will I need a new motherboard, and or processor?

  • @ZeRoSkatesZeRo no haha as long as you install your graphics card you should be fine i hope this helped u have a nice day bro:)

  • @KyezEditing Thanks!

  • I'm intalling a nvidea geforce fx 5500 on my mom's pc

do I need a power supply

  • What if... you have a built in graphics card? Because, I want to add another card because the one in my PC is sort of... meh.

  • @Maddehh26 You would turn off the integrated graphics first, then you would uninstall drivers of the old gfx card. You then should be able to replace.

  • What PC case is he using and his motherboard

  • @eagle120196 he says right at the start

  • just got a new pc and wanna play bf3. but i dont wanna buy a really high end card just something for medium high graphics. here are the cards i have in mind but not sure of. (Zotac GTX 460 768MB) and (ATI Radeon HD5770)

  • @gotpsp06 Buy the 5770, if you can buy the 480, then buy it. 5770 can run BF3 on high on 1920x1080 (max if you´re on a low resolution)

  • @Eclipsifyy That's so not true. The 5770 can not run BF3 on high.

  • @iwantinfectionz Yes it can, it all depends on the resolution.

Im just curious how you are able to write such a statement when its not even true. Please try again

  • is this as simple with all computers...?

  • @ANTR0N3000 Basically, yeah. Most cards too

  • if only you had slight of hand......

  • Can I just put a graphics card in any computer with a decent processor and ram to have a decent gaming experience?

  • @XC0MB4TXEV0LV3D The gpu had to fit. Besides that i am pretty sure thats how it works.

  • @huskermania

I Installed My New Graphic card As You Told ,

But When I Connected The Cable To The Moniter It Said "VGA NO SIGNAL"

And The Screen Blacked Out...pls reply

  • lol one year yesterday

  • will my shit hp be able to survive this thing because i just baught one today and im kinda scared to put it in =/

  • do computers have graphic card in them or you got to buy them because im playing a pc game called skyrim and its lagging like crazy what graphic card should i get i have a acer aspire z5600

system type: 64 - bit operating system

    installed memory: 3.00 GB (RAM)

    preccesor:pentium(R)Duel Core CPU E5400 2.70GHz 2.69GHz???

  • @venixnitro10 most new computers today comes with theyer own graphics card, but that doesnt mean you shouldnt buy another card, it realy depends on how much you spend on your pc and what your going to do with that pc, if your watching movies online and paying bills then i wouldnt worry with it, but if your going to play bioshock 2 on a 500$ pc then go and buy a 75 to 100$ graphics card.

  • ok i got it.. now things i need right now is graphic card..

  • what do you mean by use the metal chasee?

  • does getting a new graphics card make a big difference in lagging in games?

  • @s043487263 VERY

  • @s043487263 yes

  • @s043487263 yes

  • @s043487263 OMG YES !!! YOU HAVE NO FREAKING IDEA !!!

  • :[... i want to upgrade my graphics card but i dont know how to choose the right one :|... anyone wanna help me out..?

  • @XxPharaohAtemxX bro.. for skyrim? i had your very same problem. i picked the gtx 560. now i just need to find out if my computer has enough power for it...

  • @alexjav21 If your PSU is at least 400w you should be chill.

  • @Syn94 how do you check your power supply?

  • @Iriix1 If you run a "dxdiag", you can check that way.

  • where did you put the static band, mine has a crocodile clip

  • @GamingWithStatoke on your toe of course

  • @GamingWithStatoke clip it to the chassi or a metal object.. it's pretty much the same as touching a metal object to ground urself...

  • @GamingWithStatoke Try your nipple.

  • Just had an INCREDIBLY rare occurence.. the advertisment at bottom of video was... HELPFUL! O=

  • @PhenomenalHeadShot what was it?

  • Wow one of the rare 100% liked youtube videos!

  • @Rfl4222 not rare.. almost all of the tech videos are 100% liked.. cuz people are zipping from vid to vid so quick they dont bother to dislike when they dont like it

  • can you use a laptop graphics card in a desktop pc ?

  • @frazaldo15 probably not, laptops use smaller ones that are integrated.

  • mine failed to install :(

  • thats a big graphic card/i dident think they where that big

  • Do I have to install any kind of software for a new graphics card? Or do I just take the old one out and put the new in, plug the computer back on and do nothing extra?

  • @epsilon881 The CD software basically contains graphic card drivers and information, which can also be downloaded from the internet. So basically plus the computer back on and test the graphic card. (Launch games, resolution etc).

  • @Hawkboi55 Ah I see. Now, do I have to look for computer requirements for buying a new graphics card or are they all standard to work with any modern machine?

  • @epsilon881 Not all are standard, there are the AGP and PCI. AGP were made until 2006-08 i think, and now PCI are more modern and being bought from customers. Although if you have an old computer, let's say you bought it at 2003.. only an AGP card can suits it. (as far as i know) Best thing is to take it to a computer technition and let him check it :)

  • @Hawkboi55 Ok thx. I have NVidia GeForce 9500 gs. The fan inside it makes rattling noise, people I talked to say it's actually ok if you can tolerate the sound which I am. But I'll probably buy a new one - same or better.

  • @epsilon881 hmm make sure that the fan is clean, mine used to do that also or if a wire is touching the fan :p

  • @Hawkboi55 Yea i opened it up a week ago, the fan is touching the black cover by a millimeter which is what makes the noise. You dont happen to know if they sell just the fan without the whole shebang?

  • Is this a good video card (EVGA GeForce 8400 GS 512 MB DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 DVI/HDMI/VGA Graphics Card, 512-P3-1300-LR)

  • thanks mate, this made the seemingly daunting task of mounting a graphics easier

  • Hey so i bought a new graphics card cause my old one stopped working... and it's from Nvidia just like the old one and I did exactly the same as it says here but it won't work, when i turn on my screen it says that it can't find a signal, i'm thinking of returning it but do anyone know what's wrong?

  • Do any of you guys know if an Nvidia Geforce Gtx 560 will fit on a Dell Vostro 220 mini tower? i currently have a 9400 Gt but like you all know its SKINNY. the 560 or the 500 series in general are real thick. Thanks in advance.

  • Hey what do I do software wise, like do i download the drivers and wat not bfore putting in da card or do i put in the card and install drivers

  • Nice vid :) Showing it nicely.

  • @huskermania How would one come to the conclusion that a current PSU could handle a future video card and current tower components running at max power? Also, (because my video card is as old as the sun) if I were to 'upgrade' my video card by installing an older card, would I need to download any drivers for it?

  • For the PCI cable..

is that already plugged in my 'CURRENT' graphics card and I unplug that?

    and put it in the new Graphics card? D;

  • Thank u thank u thank u thank u THANK U!!!

  • 9800 GTX SC = GTS 250 except the die size is smaller, and some were just rebranede into the 9800 GTX. It's a decnet card, but it's DX10. Also with the i7 you're sort of holding back your build with the 9800 GTX. You can get a GTX 470, or a GTX 560ti and be king.I have the. same mobo and I was holding it back with a GTX 260 until I got a GTX 470

  • i have to change my PSU if i don`t have the 6 pin conector ? :/

  • Hey this is my motherboard N-Alvorix-RS880-uATX (Alvorix) is the RAM in the way of the graphics card if i put the graphics card in or will the card float over it?

  • 2:18 wtf floating glasses?

  • relly need an answer. in a couple weeks im getting a new hp (nothing special, amd phenom II x4 3.0ghz quad core cpu) and was wondering which video card to get the nvidia 9800gtx+ or the nvidia gtx 550 ti?

  • @SoAwesomelyFunny 550 ti, definitely, it's made for 1680 x 1050 resolution

  • @RingwormFTW thanks

  • I hate the word Casey

  • im getting a ATI Radeon HD 5450 512MB GDDR2 PCI-E video card, any support comments? is it complicated to install...please answer, ANYONE with knowledge...lol

  • Do ALL graphics cards need the cord to the power supply? The graphics card I'm getting is the Sparkle GeForce 9500GT 1GB DDR2 Low Profile PCI. I don't have it but I've seen some unboxes and I don't think I see a power cord input like that. I have the cord I think, it's been a while since I've opened up my PC, I need to dust it out anyways.

  • Intel stock fan...

Do you make toast with that thing too?

  • @iDesuFX LOL hey what kind of fan u use? because im building my first gaming computer :)

  • how do u ground urself with the metal chassis?

  • What if I have a sort of compact desktop?

  • he sound like stehpen hawkins

  • I got a question the may make me sounds like a noob. I recently got a agp video card and I installed it correctly and noticed when reconnecting the wires my computer didn't detect the card so I connected the display cord to the card and the monitor wouldn't turn on! Can you help?

  • I have ATI Radeon 9200 Pro Family on Windows 7 PC but in device manager it shows that I have VGA adapter?! Help

  • I would also like the video showing the process of safely uninstalling old drivers and installing new one ad other things etc

  • do you reccomend building a pc or getting a mac..... i will be useing for school, video editing, moderate gameing, engineering software ...please get back to me an thank you if you do

  • @citrus1997 If you want a mac you can just build a computer and install mac os.

  • @izkandyland how mac software isnt permitted on anything not licesened (idc how its spelld )by apple

  • Is this video mirrored?

Because the opening on my computer case is on the right side (if you're facing the front of the case) and yours is the opposite.

  • Thanks for these videos man. It really helps a lot when you're learning about how to build your own customized machine!

  • Wow.. that graphics card is HUGE!

I'm gonna install a new graphics card in a week or so..

I'm wondering about grounding myself using the chassis.

Do I just hold onto that the whole time I install the graphics card?

  • @helovesoatmeal yeah

  • thats a nice graphics card

  • Comment removed

  • didn't realise its so fucking simple

  • i have bought a new graphics card, XFX ATI Radeon HD 5850 for my system, but my computer dose not have a PCI express power, where can i get a PCI express power from?

    thank you

  • @mirnomanbaloch Do you mean your motherboard soen't have a PCI express slot or you don't have a cable from your power supply? If it is the 1st then you'll need to get a new motherboard, the second would be a cable you'll need to buy.

  • @mirnomanbaloch this is a simple solution all you need to do is either get a new power supply (P.S. last resort make sure nothing plugs into it) or get an adapter for the cable.

  • I know alot about computer as its the way forward in life, but this is a stupid question the PCI-E does that need to be connected to the graphic card, cuz my power supply doesnt have one, but i have bought a supply that does, soo if i connect that up will it resolve my problem, as my computer doesnt recognize my graphics card,.

  • i did that for my new ati radeon 5770 the same way you did and now the monitor wont show anything just telling me to plug in the dvi cable. Everything in my computer looks fine though. HELP!!!!

  • at 0:43 i dont have those thingys!

  • Can you switch out graphics cards on macbook pro's?

  • @TearingMeFromWithin No. Laptops use GPUs that usually aren't changeable and are smaller than these.

  • Actually, the GPU is not the graphics card, it stands for "Graphics Processing Unit." A graphics card is the GPU, video RAM, etc. combined together.

  • Right when he plugged it in, my computer started to exhaust harder lol. (My computer's 3 years old, and I run a lot of Flash and 3D stuff on it).

  • @iStaunchYou i think it is the gtx 580

  • Any chance you can post a list of your setup?

  • how many cm's is this card?

  • If, for example I buy the newest and best-out-there graphics card, do I need to update any other components in my computer?

  • @Chris246t8kr Biggest thing I believe would be to check your PSU to see if it could handle all your components running at max power.

  • @huskermania Thanks :) And a very informative video. I get quite nervous when it comes to opening my computer up and touching things.

  • @Chris246t8kr

i know this is a little late xD but your computer might not be able to handle the card check your mobo (motherboard) and your power supply and see if you have enough voltage

  • @Chris246t8kr lol you don't wanna bottle neck, make sure everything is compatible, if you have Intel you should probably use an i7 or something since you want the best graphics card, an i5 might bottleneck a bit so. as for RAM u should have at least 4GB and of course you'll need a quality PSU at around, well, at least 850W is what i'd go for but you could prob go lower.

  • I got a Radeon HD 5770 yesterday... can't wait to get the rest of my stuff to start my build!! =D

  • just showing my support nice vid

  • @dankill16 Thanks :)

  • Someones geting ready for catacalsm

  • how much did this cost so far?

  • @strhunter666 about....500-600 dollars for all those

  • How come you didn't just buy a GTS 450 or HD 5670-5770 card?

Any of those cards would be faster. (with exception to the 5670, the 5670 would be about the same.)

  • @ksidornseif I look back and kick myself for it. I bought the card about 8 months ago, so idk if it was out then or not.

  • @huskermania hey i just bought a graphic card but the problem is,its a windows 7 and the box is smaller.

  • subscribed today liking all your videos!

  • Once your done putting out the building it videos are you going to test it out on games and show us its performance?

  • just so you know, they all mount that way up.

  • I need hdmi output can you recommend a mid range graphics card with one? :)

  • isnt it HDMI input?

  • OMFG THNX futureshop wants 60$ to install one :D

  • thanks man im following this cuz im building my first computer :D

  • @xav1uz No problem! That's why I'm making these videos :)

  • @xav1uz Me too! :D

  • @xav1uz Im going to and once i get all the parts its going to be epic.
