WOW! Thanks ya'll, Mark & I (BelindaBump/Debi) started this band with my boyfriend (husband) and was a trio for the 1st coupla years. I left shortly after the video for Le Boo was shot then Mark quickly followed. I know Joe kept going then changed the name of the band then other madness ensued. I was actually looking for live video and can't find anything. i Know there are some videos somewhere, I had plenty of stills. Ya'll woulda loved our earlier harder stuff we only recorded as demos.
I've been hooked on this CD ever since I came across it in the bargain bin of a second hand store for 75 cents years ago. Such a shame they didn't get bigger and they didn't give us more.
Oh wow, another person who's familiar with their work: I'm not the only one! I found their album at an Amazing Savings back in 2004, bought it and was instantly hooked...been a fan since, trying to find merchandise that I could sport to spread the word (with little success, unfortunately). How did you find out about them and did you ever get a chance to see them in concert?
I DID contact the director of the "Le Boo" video and he got back to me: I'll post what he told me in another comment.
"I, too, am a big fan of ¡Laughing Us! and became friends with the members of the band while making the video. Unfortunately, the band itself is no more
-- they broke up several years back. Here's the update I can give you: after ¡Laughing Us! disbanded, Joe formed a new band called Suckerpump, Bobby
worked on a solo project called Graceland, and Mark and Belinda moved to Texas (and I'm not sure what they're up to these days)."
I realize I wrote that Mark & started this band with my boyfriend. HAHA, oops. I mean Mark was my boyfriend. Now he's my husband and we STILL JAM.

It's what Marilyn Manson would sound like if he went on a week-long bender listening to Cotton Eye Joe the whole time. I like.

I remember when I heard these guys for the first time. I was working at Panera Bread, and one of the bakers brought these guys in and I got hooked.
