Nice sounds, but the choice of names was imho a bod choice.
Many Tin Can Sailors gave their lives for our way of life. Not just Americans, but all of our allied countries. Destroyers, Tin Cans, were/are very special ships to thos that served on them. Many died, many didn't, but they were all Tin Can Sailors. The grey hounds of the sea, destroyers, tin cans, synonomous.
@ed76542 We appreciate the comment. As a member of the band, I'll say that we debated heavily over the naming of the band. We are and were quite aware of who the true tin can sailors were when we named the group. One of our member's grandfather was, in fact, a tin can sailor himself. We aim to keep the name in circulation, introducing it to our peers who, two generations later, have forgotten the true meaning of the term Tin Can Sailor. Thanks again for the comment and enjoy the music!
Do these folks know what a Tin Can Sailor is?
