  • darrelle revis is the best at cornerback, so does that mean that the person that is best at linebacker should win it too?? woodson didnt just play corner,. he pretty much played the whole defense

  • revis had a great yr no doubt he shut down every top receiver dats da truth but DPOY.doesnt deserve it.its called DPOY.not shutdown corner of the yr.if dats all ppl r going by is that he shut down every top receiver.den y wasnt champ bailey DPOY every year.he was da #1 shutdown corner barnone yr after yr.never won da award dats cuz its takes more dan shuttin down teams top receivers.u have 2 b an all around defender ala c.wood.dats y c.wood won.

  • dre brown?

your saying its not about shutting your receiver down?

    you aslo fail at life

you got it lewis this people dont know chit

  • mad lep? no game changing plays?

your not worth sayin anything to you fail at life

  • wiscon woods hunter you must not know bout revis

    one thing to say 35...

didnt give more than 35 yards a game an entire season

    andre johnson

    t.o twice

    moss twice

    reggie wayne

    roddy white chad ochocinco twice

and others charles woodson is my fav nfl [player ever of all positions but revis deserved it

  • woodson won it, as deserved. revis is outstanding but woodson deserves it. he has the record for the most TD's of any defensive player in one season, for the richest franchise in football history... revis doesnt.

  • Excellent video and good points BTW!! I watched every Packer game and only 4 Jets games but I live in New York and I have a friend who loves Revis!

Wood made bigger splash plays and won 3 games on his own IMO. BTW If you ad Moss n Owens stats vs Rice n C. Johnsons stats its almost a wash. ALL of the DPOY winners (Lewis, Brooks, Sandurs) played great both statisticaly and non statistically. Thats what put Wood over the edge. It wouldnt have bothered me if they shared the award......

  • ,,,,continuing on...Revis is the best cover corner in the league bar none! Woodson is a a very good cover corner himself. He is better at Revis at everything else this season. Revis had no "game-changing" plays. Good teams will just go the other way. IMO 31 deflections is crazy but apparently qb's aren't scared of him though. He was thrown at 111 times this season for an average of 7 attempts a game. 3rd highest in the NFL....

  • Moss and Johnson were the only "elite" receivers he covered. Owens only had 800 yards receiving, Colston has a ridiculous cast around him so they can just throw elsewhere to win (and they did). Wayne stepped out of the game and the Colts mailed it in. Ochocinco barely had 1000yd season. The Dolphins have no one. The Bucs have no offense. The Raiders sucked. White had a nice year. Steve Smith only had 900 yards receiving and Delhomme had the worst year of any QB this year.

  • Woodson is better than Revis.....His production is what counts.....doesnt matter about shutting down a single reciever because other recieves will make plays.....It's all about production bro....and his stats are not comparible...Revis is great...dont get me wrong but Woodson is greater.

  • @drebrown Woodson isn't greater. Woodson was able to create more turnovers, thats why he won. Wood is a great player but this is Darrelle's 2nd year. He's going to be around for a LOOOOOOOOOONG time. Lets compare wood to D.Rev in 10 years

  • Look at Woodson's Career....He won the heisman in college, defensive rookie of the year, and he made the pro bowl in his 1st 4 years with the Raiders...only an injury slowed him down..he's been to the superbowl, and now has won defensive player fo the year. Look at his career sine he's been in Green Bay healthy...its a hall of fame career...Revis may be greater later...but Woodson is the man right now..

  • @drebrown thats what im sayin (i dont know if u watched my vid or not)

  • lmao,

    1) Biased jets fan

    2) don't know anything about football

    3) didn't pay attention

Brutal statement. Either I agree with exticide or I have to choose being one of these 3 people.

It's a debateable conversation - he made it seem like Revis even being mentioned to Chuck was ridiculous. Woodson had a terrific season as did Revis by showcasing different parts of being a CB. If there was a best MVDB award it would be Revis. But Chucks versaility in other categories won him the award

  • nah man, what i meant is like... i didnt mean it as insult, but woodson completely deserved it over revis, and im sick of hearing everyone complaining about how revis should have won (namely rex ryan), dont get me wrong, revis had a sick season, and if woodson didnt have the year he had, revis would have taken every vote, but what im sayin is revis is the sickest "coverer" in the game, but it takes more than just covering wide recievers to win that award, its being a defender as a whole

  • @exticide Yes a defender as a whole. Look, the only place Wood won is the turnovers. Turnovers are the biggest stat is football pretty much. He had a lot of pick 6's and FF's. Thats why he won it. Bottom line. Also, Revis lines up (FYI) at 1,2 and nickle. Same with Woodson. Woodson playing a few downs at safety doesn't make him the end all be all. How many pro bowl WR's did Wood defend this year?.. Revis went up against 5 and 2 HOF WR's twice (Moss and Ownes) Bills Pats.

  • Personally, if you want to argue that Wood deserved it more... I will give you that argument. It's where you said that anyone that thinks Revis deserves it doesn't know anything about football is what blew me away.
