This should stop. This is a waste of resources, time, and labor. Think about it - a floor only needs to be swept and mopped. Where is all that residue going? Into the ground water. See the - great pacific garbage patch- . Surprised? I was!!!
Anyway - using gasoline, water, electricity, and labor to make a floor "shiny" is not good for any ecosystem.

Today I\ll Make A short video Response, but its just gunna be pictures of what we did the past christmas holidays. okay. then maybe WHat we do during march break.
@001looker His name is " ERIC " my uncle. We have been doing this kinda of work for a very long time. The floors always look like glass when we are done. So!! maybe you should keep your rude comments to yourself.
@MissLadyBizz That is nice but you and your uncle Eric are still just janitors. You're doing basic manual labor that anyone can do. No you're not professional except in your head being that mopping floors is all you know how to do. I hope you enjoy making minimum wage as that is all your labor is worth.
@001looker First off you should learn how to talk. " Janitors " with an S on the end means more than 1 and there is only 1 person waxing the floor Duh!! Second we had to strip off all the wax with a machine in order for ERIC to wax the floor you DUMMY. Third if you don't understand what you're looking at ask questions or just stop looking at it. We have never work for minimum wages EVER!! My business is very successful, all my client's are happy with the work we do. DO NOT POST ANYMORE CRAP!!
@MissLadyBizz You're right you work for minimum wage +$1 so it's no longer minimum wage. Enjoy mopping the floors and calling it very successful business.
@TwentyGaugeTicket Yesssssssss I have video of Eric waxing the floor from start to finish. It was so long .... had to cut down the video. floor waxing takes hours.
@MissLadyBizz Everywhere I have seen floor finish being applied (and it is a very large number of places) everyone lays finish in 100 to 300 sqf sections. Not a 1400 to 1600 sqf section. I am referring to applying finish around the perimeter of the whole room first. That will cause the floor finish to dry unevenly. ( I am eyeballing the room size he was in)
In the process of S&W, we of course spread stripper first, then we detail with handle blades and doodle bugs. Squeegee, then use the wet dry vac to suck everything up, then trashing the left over wax build up/gunk in corners and doorways (slush). Then we go through with mop/auto-scrubber with a neutral cleaner, like Damp mop and neutralize it. Let dry, then start wax coats. Usually 4-5 coats.
What is the name of wax you guys use on the floors you do? At the hospital I work at here in Nevada, we have been having trouble keeping the shine on our floors. We use a wax called signature, but it's like if you mop the floor with anything other than tap water, the shine comes right off. It could just be cheap wax.
Its called floor finish....not wax ...wax is a product U may use on cars....and it is soft paste like ....most floor finishes have a urathane base and dries hard...wax dries to a powder....then buffed to produce a gloss
That floor's gonna' look like GLASS when it's burnished!!
I've found a good tip...
One needs no more than one, or maybe two coats near the baseboards because they're rarely walked on, and when recoating (without stripping) only put ONE on again. If the edges keep building up without being worn down they tend to really yellow near the edges...

Helps when you leaving at least 5 inches of space from the wall for you frist coats, then on your last coats do the edges.. easier when stripping.
